Carved Damask Card

Hello Blog Friends - it is always a pleasure to have you visit.  I hope that after the Christmas rush you are able to wind down for the last days of 2013 - it will be 2014 before we know it - are you ready?!

I have had fun creating some cards - 'just because' - using those things I have had on my desk from previous projects - it is always a good feeling to see them used and to see the desk top slowly appearing - for a short time anyway!

This image is from My Fun Stampers Journey - Carved Damask ATS Collection and has been stamped using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink and coloured using Memento™ Dye Ink Markers.

Carved Damask

The image has been cut out using the Grand Calibur® Machine
and Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight Spellbinders® Decorative Elements Nestabilities®.  The background Dies are Butterfly Corner Shapeabilities®

The Graphic 45 - Secret Garden paper has been embossed using the Lovely Lattice  M-Bossabilities™ folder and then lightly sanded using a sanding block.

On this Special Day

Hello Blog Friends, I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to an even better 2014 - which is literally only days away!

I have been pottering in the Studio and trying to finish cards I have started along the way but for one reason or another, they have not been finished - I love the feeling of making the UFO (unfinished objects) pile smaller.

For this card I have used the Faux Letterpress Technique with the Lovely Lattice Spellbinders® M-Bossabilities™ folder and IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Rhubarb Stalk.  You can see my tutorial for this technique HERE.

The sentiment is from SRM Stickers, the lace is from a RAK from a very dear friend and the roses are from my stash - they are my absolute favourites, with that little touch of pale pink in the center.  I have also used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ - E-Z Adhesive Runner

This card is for the following challenges:

Tok Bobok Challenge - Anything Goes
Oozak Challenge - Anything Goes, (Something old, Something new) image (old) Die (new)
Die Cut Diva's - Let's Celebrate
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Media Mixage Cherub Bezel

I have shared a something a little bit different on the Want2Scrap Blog and wanted to share it with you today - a Media Mixage Ornament - made using Want2Scrap© pearls and the gorgeous line of  Spellbinders products.

The Squares Two bezels designed by Susan Lenart Kazmer™ for Spellbinders makes the perfect base for this ornament - I have used red Premium Craft Foils, along with the Music Spellbinders® Media Mixáge™ Texture Plate.  A charm from my stash has been added, followed by ICE Resin® - I love the way this came together so easily.

Want2Scrap© - Baby Bling has been adhered around the edge to form a pretty frame and add to the nostalgic feel.  Some Seam Binding and a silver spacer added to the top and a silver heart from my stash to the lower ring - nice and easy and so effective don't you think!

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
