Boundless

It is something quick and easy today - some days are like that! LOL!

I have used an image from Stamp It, that I have had for a long time,

Over stamping with a sentiment that I love and have not used very much - another reason why sorting out is a good thing!

Adding a border from the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents Die, this Die has been cut with the Spllbinders Grand Calibur - I would be lost without my Dies and Grand Calibur - what did I do without them - well actually I remember drawing around a Baked Bean can and cutting it out by hand....How things have changed! LOL!

Some tearing and sponging, light layering and of course ...pearls....the card is complete!!

This card is for the following challenges:
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Squigglefly - Spring is in the Air
Nettie G's Digital Gems - Anything Goes

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

SSIC Nostalgic For You

It is Sunday and who doesn't love Sunday!!  With it comes the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - I love this challenge, it is inspiring on so many levels!!  This week our challenge is brought to us by Traci - who has chosen the following scripture:

"Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." James 1:2-3

Traci's challenge is to create a card with variegated colors. This can mean a monochromatic card with various shades of one color, or a card that shows variegated as in a variety of colors, or a pop of bright colors in unison as in a bouquet of flowers. Be creative!!

For my card I decided on using one main colour and a POP of brown - and not surprises that it is nostalgic - I did mention I am on a run of these...

I have used a free digital image from The Graphics Fairy, the sentiment is from Layers of Color.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle, Labels Eight and the Ribbon Banners Die.

Lace, Hand Dyed Seam Binding and a Mulberry Flower are added along the lower portion of the card

to finish off a card with lots of dimension but not too much, that it is hard to post - you have to LOVE that!

This card is for the following challenges:
2 Sisters - Anything goes
Allsorts - Free and Easy February
Dies to Die for - Anything goes
Di's Digis Designs - Lace and Pearls
Just Some Lines - Girly Girls
Little Claire's  - Romance
Moving Along With The Times - Lots of layers (at least 2)

Shabby Just for You

Who doesn't love roses - I know I do, I love the way they look and the perfume that some of them have is divine - a fragrance that just cannot be captured in a bottle!

This gorgeous image is another one from 'The Graphics Fairy' - they have some gorgeous fee images

It has been mounted onto embossed Card stock using Spellbinders Labels Eight Die, the filigree on either side is from the Ironworks Motif Die, as this is a circle, I have cut down each edge and slipped it under the Labels Eight Die, creating a filigree frame.  I cut all Dies with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The sentiment is from Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, illustrated by Nina Brackett for Layers of Color.

Lace, flowers and buttons topped with pearls have been layered onto a border from the Spellbinders Floral Accent Die.

Birthday Blues

Masculine cards seem to be made less than any other card - well, by me anyway.

This one is created using a retired Stampin' Up! set - this appeals greatly to me as my younger brother lives on one.

I have coloured the image in lightly using Distressing Inks and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two Die, using my Grand Calibur.

and added a sentiment from the Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set illustrated by Nina Brackett and cut out using the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Die

LOC Angelic Friends

I am still working in a Nostalgic 'Zone' and loving it, especially with some of the free digital images available to us

This 'divine' image is compliments of  'The Graphics Fairy'

I have used Spellbinders Ironworks Motifs, cutting some of the points off the largest Die and creating an ornate border.  All Dies have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Borderbilities Die has been added along the lower edge and embellished with Mulberry Paper Roses, buttons and pearls - some of my favourite things.  The sentiment is from the Layers of Color Sent with Love clear art stamp set.

The Patterned Paper is from My Minds's Eye - and totally gorgeous!

This card is for the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown - Winter Blues
Crafty Bloggers Network - "Shabby Chic"
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations - Monochromatic
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Use a Die or Punch

Now for a little 'insider information' LOL! As you may have read by now, Layers of Color is no longer manufacturing their stamps or selling them online. The owner and artist, Laura Kirste Campbell is now a full-time product designer for major craft industry companies. You can find out the details here. But, despite this bitter sweet transition, more new and unique Layers of Color style stamp designs designed by Laura will soon be available worldwide this Spring! A more detailed announcement is coming soon...and I cannot wait!!

Can you handle a little bit more excitement - Nina Brackett will also be illustrating for this company - so it is WIN:WIN!!

Thank you for visiting today - I always appreciate the time it has taken you to come and leave a comment - I read each one and you know I love to see you! God bless you!

Shabby Elegant Love

I have been on a 'Shabby/Nostalgic' card run over ythe last few days and wanted to share a card with you

using the 'Sent With Love' stamp set designed by Nina Brackett for The Craft's Meow

and the Lovely Labels 18 set , that coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen Die, along with the coordinating Nestabling - now I have to say at this stage, I am loving NESTABLING from Want2Scrap, I am a 'pearl girl' anyway so it is an instant hit with me!

I have stamped the image twice, cutting it out using a Spellbinders Standard Circles SML Die.  The butterfly on the second image has been cut out, coloured with SU Chalks/Pastels and the wings popped up with some foam tape, for that added dimension.  3D Kindy Glitz has been added to give a little but if shimmer.

The DP is from KandCompany, one of my favourite DP's of all time, I use it sparingly! LOL!  A border from the Spellbinders Ironworks Accents Die has been added to the lower edge.  All of the Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - my favourite cutting machine!

This card is for the following challenges:
Cards und More - Glisten & Sparkle
Celebrate the Occasion - Thinking Of You
Crafty Bloggers Network - "Shabby Chic

Fairy Pots

Thank you all for your lovely comments on the Fairy Card yesterday, you can see it HERE.  I thought I would share another one with you today.

I have used another sticker - I am surprised how well a sticker turns out, but then again I have used the Spellbinders Labels Eight and Labels Seventeen Dies and they automatically make a card look good.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur for all cutting.

I have used the Labels Eight Die as a mask, sponging around the inside edges before removing the image, it always gives a lovely soft effect and compliments the Dies so well!

Lace and pearls are a 'must' for me on most cards.

Some beautiful ruffles ribbon from Scrapbooking Haven and some pleated DP  placed along the top, it adds dimension.

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network - "Shabby Chic
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - Spring
Stamps R Us - Anything Goes

The Crazy Challenge -Use a Die or Punch

Fairy Garden

Fairies - apparently they live at the bottom of the garden - well not this one, she has been hiding in a box of UFO's (unfinished objects) and has finally 'seen the light of day!'

I was goven some Fairy Stickers quite some time ago from my dear friend Ann and put them away in a 'special place'!  Well, it was so special even I couldn't find it until a few weeks ago...
I did not have the heart to put them back!

I adhered the image to white card stock and cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen, using the Die as a mask I sponged around the edges with Distressing Ink and then layered it onto the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two My preferred Die Cutting machine is the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The DP is Echo Park, gorgeous lace and a Prima Flower, along with small Mulberry Roses and buds are layered onto the lace.

If you know me at all, you know it would not be complete without a few pearls added - can you see where they are?  I love the elegant touch they add.

This card is for the following challenges:
Corrosive Challenges -  Another Dimension
Scrappy Frogs - Die Cuts
Drunken Stampers - Texture
Robyn's Fetish Challenge - Pretty in Pink
Allsorts Challenge - Anything Goes
Sparkles Challenge - Things with Wings
