The Journey

It is Father's Day on Sunday so it is only fitting that I share a masculine card - I don't make them often enough but am trying to change that!

I have used the Darkroom Door Old Trick Photo Stamp

The sentiment has been cut out with the Spellbinders Grommet Tags Shapeabilities and attached with old gold brads.  The Die has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

The background paper is from an old book - they make the best patterned paper and we all have them lying around  - a great way to recycle!

This card is for the following challenges:
Paper Shelter Challenge - layers on layers
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Shopping Our Stash - Use Your Favourite Things (Dies)
Through The Craft Room Door - Diva or Anything Goes
Hooked on Crafts - Cards for Men
House of Gilli - Your Favourite Colour Combo
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes
Totally Stampalicious - Anything Goes

You're an Angel

I am sharing a card that was submitted for publication but was not picked up, it is good to have some cards to fall back on while I am busy creating for up and coming projects.

How cute are these darling angels illustrated by Laura Kirste Campbell, sorry ladies but they are now retired - thankfully I have a set as they are on of my favourite images, especially for Christmas.  The image has been coloured and cut out then popped up with foam tape into a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Nestabilities - which has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - the Die is cut out with material and then embossed - I love that!  To find out how to do this you can see my Spellbinders Video Tutorial here.

The wings have been lightly coloured with Chalks/Pastes and had 3D Kindy Glitz added for that extra sparkle.

Mulberry Roses are a 'must'

The sentiment is part of this adorable set, the lace is from my stash.

This card is for the following challenges:
Paper Shelter Challenge - layers on layers
Penny's Paper-Crafty - Sparkle and Shine
Scrapalicious - anything goes

Wings of Hope

I started with all good intentions at sorting through the gathering 'stuff' on my desk, but quickly got inspired by this gorgeous My Mind's Eye paper left over from my Spellbinders Video Tutorial on Saturday.

I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut the Spellbinders Wings of Hope Shapeabilities.  I have layered this into an 'off cut' from the Asian Motifs Shapeabililties.

Finishing off by adding some of the divine Want2Scrap pearls to the body of each butterfly on the My Mind's Eye patterned paper.

A good bit of cleaning I would think! LOL!  So now back to the cleaning (right!?! LOL!) I am sure this will not be the only card to be created in the process of my 'faux cleaning!' LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:

Holiday Tree

I am popping in with a card to share using....yes you guessed it - Spellbinders Dies - how do you like this Christmas Tree - gorgeous isn't it!

The photo is not as good as I would have liked it to be, but you can get the idea.  This card is one of two that I will be teaching at my next Card Design Class next week.

I have used the Spellbinders Holiday Tree Shapeabililties. I have cut out the tree using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur, firstly gluing an old book page to some card, in this case a recycled cereal box, this gives a thicker tree.  I inserted wax paper into the Die, wax side down so it is easier to get the Die Cut card out of the Die, especially when it is so beautifully filigree.

The background card has been embossed with the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities.  Finishing off with some pleated vintage paper and Want2Scrap bling.  I decided now to overload the card as the gorgeous Tree is a feature on it's own.

This card is for the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp and Show... - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
LEJ Designs SIO - Vintage
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Monochromatic Christmas
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Waste Not Wednesday - always "use your forgotten stuff"
Paper Shelter Challenge - Anything goes
Little Red Wagon - Upcycle

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
