Live for Today Card

I am back to share a card I created for Card Design Class - keeping it relatively simple but a little bit of technique and some fabulous products.

The background stamp is by KaiserCraft and has been stamped using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Wedding Dress.   The flowers have been cut/emboss using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine and the Asters and Poppies Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™  While the Card is still in the Die, the flowers have been sponged using

IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink Dew Drop in Dandelion, followed by

IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink Dew Drop in Tangelo.  This is followed by

IMAGINECrafts® Fireworks!™ Craft Spray in Tangelo for some added shimmer.

 

The sentiment has been stamped using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink full pad in Danube Blue and layered onto light blue card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® E-Z Roller.

Using liquid Glue, adhere the Die cut flowers to the card as shown.

So Happy for You

I have always loved this patterned paper from  My Mind's Eye™ and decided it was too pretty to cover up. 

The simple addition of a strip of patterned paper, a sentiment from  from SRM Stickers and the bling is Baby Bling from Want2Scrap©

 

Along with an embellishment from Authentique™ Paper.    This has been cut one using the Spellbinders® Grand Calibur® Machine and the Standard Circles SM Spellbinders® Nestabilities®

All About You

SRM Stickers are great - especially when you are wanting to create a few quick cards - and that is exactly what I did.  I cannot believe it took me so long to use 'stickers' for my sentiments.

I love this sentiment - and have to say there are a few people who I could give this card to every day not just birthdays - but for the sake of this post - it is all about you on your birthday - let's just go with that shall we! LOL!

I have used  Diamond Effects Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator Dies - this is the negative of the #3 Dies in the set and so very effective - don't you think!?  The paper is offcuts from Authentique™ Paper and the tab on the side from Cosmo Cricket™

Using the IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Turquoise, stamp the

My Fun Stampers Journey - Houndstooth background stamp, onto white card.  Trim to the size of the image and adhere to the card base.

 

Cut one (1) Diamond Effects Nestabilities® Card Creator #3  in white card.  

NOTE:  Spellbinders number their Dies from smallest to largest - the smallest being #1

Adhere into a scrap of white card - I used a Mega Oval Die that I had in my stock - this is to give a base to mount the sentiment onto.

Using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Violet stamp two of the larger butterflies from the Penny Black Inc. - Social Butterfly clear stamp set, followed by two of the smaller butterfly in VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Canary.

Colour around the edges of the  large butterfly using an IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Fantastix™ Multi-Purpose Applicators and the VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Canary and the inside of the smaller butterflies wings using VersaColor™ Pigment Ink in Turquoise. Layer the butterflies a shown in the photo below.

Attach Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® - Dodz 3D Clear Adhesive Dots to the back of the layered butterflies and attach to the top and bottom corners of the sentiment frame.  Adhere the sentiment onto yellow card and cut out using a Circle Die and adhere to the center of the frame, using foam dots.  Apply three of the Want2Scrap© - Baby Bling onto the butterfly body.  

 

Finish by applying the  IMAGINE Crafts® GooseBumps™ Dauber Top to add some shimmer to the wings of the top butterfly.
