Happy Everything

In my endless endeavors to have a clean(er) desk, I also try and use up the excess kits I create for Classes and Workshops - they come in very handy when you need a few cards as soon as possible - you know how that is

I have used the A2 Curved Matting Basics A Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator to create the card base and cut/emboss the Authentique Paper patterned paper.  The red squares have been cut using the Classic Squares LG Spellbinders® Nestabilities and a corner rounder has been used on opposite corners.  These have been popped up using Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares.

The Scalloped Circle has been embossed using Metallic Melts by Tinby Designs.  The flower has been layered onto the layered circles and a decorative button added.

The sentiment is by Penny Black Inc and has been cut/embossed using the Back to Basics .Tags Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® and stamped using IMAGINECrafts®/Tsukineko® VersaFine™ Archival Pigment Ink in Onyx Black.  All Dies have been  cut using the Grand Calibur Die Cutting & Embossing Machine.  The bling is from Want2Scrap, I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L -  E-Z Dots Permanent  Adhesive Runner on this card.

.

This card is for the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Stuffed (use left over paper)
A Crafty Mess - Anything Goes

Darkroom Door - For You

Hello Blog Friends,, I hope you are having a good week - we have been in the middle of a heatwave and are enjoying a few cooler days - but definitely not cold! The Studio is a great place to 'chill out' on days like this!

I have been using some tags I had started as samples for a Workshop, but decided they would make pretty cards - this one being the first one completed.  The Stately Circles Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Decorative Elements has been cut using the Grand Calibur Die Cutting & Embossing Machine and purple card stock.  A strip of Washi Tape has been added!

The image is from Darkroom Door and is one of the first Darkroom Door sets I owned - still up there among the favourites.  I have stamped the wings twice, coloured them using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Radiant Neons in Electric Yellow and popped them up using 3D Foam Squares. The lace panel is stamped using Memento™ Dye Ink in Teal Zeal.

The Nestabling is from Want2Scrap.   I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

This card is for the following challenges:

Cloudy Skies

Hello Blog Friends, I have been busy getting Inky and have something a little different to share with you today.  As much as I love pretty and elegant cards there are times when I love to play with inks and create something 'outside the square' for me.

I have used IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink in Summer Sky and Nautical Blue to create the sky, along with Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves for the grass.  The Sun has been inked in Dandelion and Rockmelon, using a circles mask created using Spellbinders Standard Circles LG. The card base has been created using the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A - such a great set to have - you cannot beat the core Dies,  My Dies have been cut using the  Grand Calibur® Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

The Indigo Blue image and Penny Black Inc sentiment have been stamped using Nautical Blue.  The birds are from am Anonymous Stampers set.  I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

This card is for the following challenges:
A Crafty Mess - Anything Goes
Artbymiran Challenge Anything Goes

A Negative Die is what remains when you have cut your original Die, so often these are pretty enough to use on their own.  I have collected a lot of them and am going to show you one way to use them....there are many different ways - you may have some of your own and I would love to see them.

Reflecting - on the Spellbinders Retreat

You would think this post would be easy to write, but it is just the opposite infact - how can you capture the ultimate experience of bonding, inspiration, heartfelt friendships, generosity, teaching, learning, love and laughter in words - not possible - so I will try with photos.

It has to be said - these ladies are amazing - so many countries represented, along with those from the USA, we came from across the globe - Canada, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, England and the Ukraine. We shared some amazing days together, filled with laughter, tears and bonding.  The support and encouragement was amazing and each one appreciating each others styles - no ego or insecurities - just positive stuff happening - love that!

Stacey and the Spellbinders Team spoiled us - the trip to Sedona was amazing, breathtaking and so much more.

The Desert is an incredible place at the best of times, but to be surrounded by the beautiful red rock formations was just surreal - each of us was taken in by it's beauty!

Yes, there were photo opportunities - and many of these will be seen on scrapbook layouts and canvas' over time I am sure!  For more photos, you can see my facebook Album HERE

Stacey took the time each day to gather us and encourage - bonding is not to be underestimated.  One of the highlights for me was the Class that Stacey taught - going back to her first love - Mixed Media - for some of us it was way out of our comfort zone - but that is what made it inspiring.

Here is a little sneak peek of my canvas - I am putting the final touches on at home and will share it when it is finished.

I don't want to overwhelm you with photos - I will spread them over a few posts - I hope you are okay with that!  We have been so blessed and I am wanting to share that with you and also honour the person who made it possible!!

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
