From Our House to Yours

Hello friends, thanks for dropping in and the comments you leave  I always love to know you have visited.  It is Friday here and a lovely 23 degrees Celsius - once I have finished in The Studio I am hoping to get some time in the garden - I am also puppy sitting my DD1s new puppy - so that will be interesting - she has so much energy!

In the meantime I have a Christmas Card to share with you - using one of the Spellbinders A Sweet Christmas Collection by Licensed Designer Sharyn SowellHow adorable are these silhouette images - so easy to use and so many options.  I have used the Shapeabilities From Our Home to Yours Etched Dies A Sweet Christmas by Sharyn Sowell.  It has been cut/embossed using white card stock and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine,

To colour the image I have used an ombre effect using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk - my all time favourite red link.  I have started at Santa's feet with a fully loaded Sponge Dauber and worked my way to the top with the ink lightening on the way up.  Like I said - so easy and so effective!!  The image has been popped up onto a Die cut Banner using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L.

The layered image has been popped up onto patterned paper that has had a strip of gold spotted paper adhered across the centre and then been die cut using Spellbinders  Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine, then popped up onto a pre-cut slightly larger white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Next a sentiment sticker has been layered onto a larger circle using liquid glue and adhered to the image layer.  Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L Small 3D Foam Squares in white have been added underneath the part of the sentiment that is overlapping onto the card front and a coat of Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer has been added and allowed to dry completely.

The date has been stamped using a BoBunny stamp set and Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk and cut out using a small circle punch.  These have been popped up onto the lower right corner of the white Banner using 3D Foam Squares and a coat of Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer has been added and allowed to dry completely. Alpha stickers have been used to finish the date.  Lastly I have added Gold Photo Corners from Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L.

Kind Words

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I love a good sentiment on a card and am always on the look out for new ones.  The one I have used here is from an older Collection from Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company - and I have to admit has been sitting in my stash for some time (head hung in shame)  I am sure you know what it is like - but what fun to rediscover things when you start sorting - and that is all I will say about that! LOL!

'Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless' - Mother Teresa

The card front has been created by using two strips of Kaisercraft patterned paper that were left over from other projects, they have been adhered to a piece of card board and cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine, then popped up onto a pre-cut slightly larger white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Authentique Paper patterned paper has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Victorian Medallion One Etched Dies and adhered to the centre of the card front using liquid glue.  Next the sentiment has been adhered to the centre of the Medallion.

The butterfly has been created by cut/emboss the Butterfly Body using Kaisercraft patterned paper and the Shapeabilities Layered Monarch Etched Dies - Exclusive, this is followed by the Butterfly Wing Layer 3 n black card stock.  Adhere the Wing layer over the patterned Body Layer using glue.  Colour the body using black marker.  Add liquid glitter to the wings and allow to dry.

Pop up the butterfly on the top right portion of the sentiment panel with the body overlapping onto the panel and the wings a popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares - glue the body portion.   Want2Scrap 250 Count White Pearls have been added to each corner.

Happy Wishes

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope your week has started off well - the days are just flying by - before we know it we will be arriving at the end of the year - sorry I don't want to 'skeer' any of you - it is just a fact!  But in the meantime we can concentrate on 'all things creative!'

The card I am sharing today has been created using a Penny Black Inc. Stencil, Imagine Memento Inks, Chameleon Pens and Spellbinders Dies - along with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I started by securing the Penny Black Inc Luster Stencil to white card stock, with the main pattern in the lower left hand corner. Next I sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Dandelion, Tangerine, Pistachio and Bamboo Leaves - beautiful autumnal/fall colours.  The extra depth and finer details has been added using Chameleon Pens.

The stenciled card front has been cut/embossed using the largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut purple card base using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The Doily from the Kaisercraft Bombay Sunset Doiley has been cut in half and popped up onto the top of the card front using double sided tape.  The sentiment also from the Bombay Sunset Collectibles has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares and the computer generated sentiment glued underneath.  Finishing off by randomly adding Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Tuxedo Black - allow to dry.

Spellbinders Be Merry Tutorial

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders using one of the new Holiday Die D-Lites - what is not to love about these adorable Reindeer.  I have also used a number of other dies as you will see when you follow along with the tutorial below.

'Die D-Lites Reindeer Etched Dies 2018 Holiday is a set of six includes everything you need to create your own kind of reindeer fun.' - Spellbinders

1. Cut/emboss three (3) each of the Reindeer face, Reindeer Ears, Nose, Antlers, Holly and Berries using Kraft card stock and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine to make 3 Reindeer.

2. Colour the pieces as desired using Chameleon Pens, making each Reindeer slightly different - making sure there is one red nose (for Rudolph)
3. Glue together as shown in the photos above.

3. Cut/emboss one Wreath Etched Die using White card stock.
4. Colour using two shades of brown,
5. Cut/emboss one bow from the Wreath Etched Die using patterned paper,  lightly sand using a Sanding Block.  Trim the long ends off using sharp scissors, as shown above.
6. Pop the bow up onto the front of the Wreath using 3D Foam Squares, gluing the ends of the Bow behind the wreath as shown above.
7. Cut/emboss one Hemstitch Square using both of the largest Dies and patterned paper.
8. Remove the small pieces using the Tool'n' One.
9. Glue the Holly around the lower portion of the wreath and pop up onto the card front.

10. Glue one Reindeer towards each side of the Wreath.
11. Pop up the third Reindeer (Rudolph) in the centre of the other two using 3D Foam Squares.
12. Cut/emboss the sentiment from the Naughty or Nice Etched Dies using gold card stock.
13. Glue the bottom of the sentiment across the Holly
14. Line the Hemstitch Square using the same size red card stock.
15. Pop up the layered card front onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base.

Own Kind of Beautiful Layout

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a layout with you - using some Kaisercraft papers that I have held onto for some time - but decided they need to 'see the light of day', along with this photo of my eldest daughter.

I have taken part in a Blind Scrap as part of a group I am in - it was so much fun and each layout created was so different but just stunning - I would definitely do this again!

Our first instruction was to start with a neutral piece of card stock, to ink or paint around the edges and to add a hand drawn border about an inch in.  I am not usually one who draws on their layouts but I did enjoy this, I used a Chameleon Pen and added Imagine irRESISTIbles Pico Embellisher in Tudexo Black randomly around the edges - I love the effect and will definitely be doing that again. I also added a lightly sponged border  by rubbing my 'fully loaded' sponge daubers around the edge - subtle but definitely there!  The white edging has been created using a White Paint Pen.

My papers are from a much older Kaisercraft Collection - Kaleidoscope - and the stickers sentiments are from that set as well.  The photo has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto the layout using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares for dimension -but not too much. All other layers have been adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner - Ultra. The layered flowers are from Little Birdie Crafts amazing selection, along with some Primed Chipboard - Tropical Foliage that has been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and glued to each side of the flower clusters.  The flowers to the right of the photo have been glued onto a Little Birdie Crafts Tag from the Burlap Tassel Tags . A few handmade butterflies and flowers have been glued onto the layout - I made these using moulds and Paper Clay.

Enjoy the Moment

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  My card today has been created using one of the Little Birdie Crafts Stencils and Imagine Memento Inks - such a fun way to create your own unique background for any project.  I just have to add - it is Friday night here - woohoo - I am hoping for some BIG CHUNKS of creative time this weekend - I am on a mission and want to get some projects completed - here's hoping!!

I started by securing the stencil over white card stock with Repositional Tape to prevent it from moving.  I randomly sponged over the stencil using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky, Bamboo Leaves and Lulu Lavender using a sponge dauber.

This has then been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut purple card base using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The butterfly has been created by cut/emboss the Butterfly Body using Kaisercraft patterned paper and the Shapeabilities Layered Monarch Etched Dies - Exclusive, this is followed by the Butterfly Wing Layer 2 in black card stock.  Adhere the Wing layer over the patterned Body Layer using glue.  Colour the body using black marker.  Pop up the butterfly on the top portion of the
card front using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares on the wings and glue on the body portion.

For the sentiment I cut the word “Enjoy” from the Enjoy Expressions Stamp and Die Set - Exclusive using black card stock  and glued it, centred, below the butterfly, The smaller sentiment is from the co-ordinating stamp set and has been stamped directly below the die cut sentiment using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black Ink .
