Spellbinders Happy Birthday House

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by.  I have to start by saying it is still HOT here Down Under - we are having a heatwave and feeling it - I am very grateful for air conditioning and fans.  It is the perfect time to spend more time in The Studio and CASE (copy and share everything) another one of the cards I made for a publication over a year ago, I have changed a couple of things so it is not just a straight copy.  It is simple but that is one of the things I love about it - how about you!?

I have started by cutting/embossing the following dies from the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Prims Etched Dies the following: one rectangle in light Teal card stock, one triangle roof, door and window in dark teal textured card stock.  Next cut/emboss one star in silver card stock and one heart in  pink card stock. Lightly sand each of these die cuts using the sanding block.  Cut/emboss two white clouds from the Shapeabilities Rise 'n Shine Etched Dies My Little Red Wagon by Debi Adams

Tear the Authentique Paper pink patterned paper to form a hill, along with one light pink – making sure the ‘hill’ is offset when adhered to the patterned paper. Adhere to the base of light blue patterned paper Approx. 15cm x 11cm), to create ‘hills’.  Cut/emboss the layered patterned paper using the 5 x 7 Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Dies #5 and layer onto a slightly larger pre-cut card base.

Adhere the Triangle to the top of the rectangle to form a roof, using double sided tape.  Pop up near the top of the ‘hills’ using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Glue the door onto the house, trim the window and glue to the right side of the house. Pop up the Heart also using 3D Foam Squares.  Adhere the clouds using double sided tape, tucking the right hand one under the house roof and trimming the left hand one in half before adhering.  Attach the star using double sided tape.

The sentiment from my stash has been trimmed and both ends dove-tailed, with the edges sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal.  Next it has been popped up on the lower portion of the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Spellbinders Love in a Teacup

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I have an eclectic mixed media card to share with you  - it is always fun trying something different - when I first saw these Spellbinders dies I would never have thought of trying something like this, but the inspiration hit and I just ran with it - what do you think?  I am happy with it.

Randomly colour some of the hearts along the edges of the Trailing Hearts -apply a coat of Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer and allow to dry.

Cut/emboss  one  Shapeabilities Blooming Brew Etched Dies Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection by Sharyn Sowell using white card stock. Glue to the card front.

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders using a mixture of stamps and Dies - including one of the new Dies by Marisa Job.  The beautiful stamp set is called - Thanks a Bunch.

1 Randomly stamp the leaves from Thanks a Bunch using three different green inks - using a darker one for the leaf veins.
2. Stamp the flowers using three different colours with variations of colour in the centre.
NOTE:  You can achieve a softer look by using second and/or third generation stamping - this is totally optional.

3.Cut/ emboss the stamped card stock using the second largest die from the Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies to create a card front using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.
4. Cut/emboss the Happy Birthday Banner Etched Dies using green card stock.
5.Remove from the Die and adhere both sides together over a length of twine using liquid glue.

Little Birdie Crafts Birthday Wishes and Flowers

Hello friends welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Australia Day to all of my Australian friends - I hope you celebrated this amazing country in some form or other.  We had a quiet day because of the extreme temperatures but had a family dinner, which is always wonderful.
I have been making the most of being inside and have enjoyed playing around with some of the Little Birdie Crafts products and have to say they are a little bit addictive!!

The patterned paper from my stash has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard; each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand. and cut/embossed using the Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies and lightly sanded.  The card front has been adhered to a pre-cut card base using Adhesive Sheets 4 x6.

The flowers from the Little Birdie Crafts Clear Stamps - Floral Greetings have been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, next they have been coloured using Chameleon Pens.  The flowers are fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up onto a panel that has been stenciled using the Little Birdie Crafts Stencil - Dots in brown and gold inks and cut/embossed using the third largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and popped up onto the card front using Scrapboook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The CHIPBOARD ON YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES has been coloured in an Ombre style using Chameleon Pens and coated using Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer.  A length of lace from my stash has been glued along the lower portion of the card front and small Lecreme pearls added along the Lacy pattern.

I have finished off using a trimmed section of  Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse in Lecreme and adhering it coming out from the flower.

Spellbinders Thanks a Bunch

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I have another card to share with you using Stickers, pre-cut and recycled Dies from Workshop Kits and pieces of bling that are left sitting on my desk.  I have really enjoyed the challenge of using them to create pretty and quick cards.  I hope you are inspired to use up your stash as well.  I try and make sure I use up some of the ever growing pile before I cut into more.

The  patterned paper is from my stash - Stampin' Up! I believe. It has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine  Next it has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.  A Gold Gel Pen has been used around the faux stitching.

The sticker is one of eight I came across in my stash and has been adhered to a Circle from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles SML Etched Dies white card stock and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.   This has been popped up onto another Die Cut I have had in my stash for a long time - The Fleur de Lis, which I believe it is discontinued  - disappointing I know bu they are too pretty NOT to use up. Next it has been popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Square.

A double green Seam Binding bow has been glued to the left side of the Fleur de Lis Frame. The Sentiment has been popped up using a 3D Foam Squares at the base of the Fleur De Lis.  Want2Scrap Nestabling has been trimmed and adhered around the Fleur de Lis - Note this is not co-ordinatiing Nestabling, but works so well - thinking outside the square on this one! Wink:Wink!
