I made this card yesterday and have only just managed to post it here today....as I had a Scrapbooking Class last night (my third) and got home late....I have to say I can't remember laughing as much as I did last night for a long time - it seems that it is NEVER quiet when I go to these things -I have to say I am innocent in this case....but the things I saw....we will leave that for another day!!!
I have kept it simple today as the card making time was limited but have made a card for both the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenges and the Stampin'B Challenge.....
The stampin'B Challenge was to use flowers and I used one I had received in a RAK from pam124 - it is velvety and went perfectly with my flocked paper. I layered it on a scalloped circle which I had sponged and added an old button which came from a lady at Church - I called around there the other night and she had boxed of beautiful buttons - I was thrilled to be the recipient of some of them!!!
The scripture is from my cyber friend Lynda (aka Astrogirl04), I am very grateful for these as I have no scripture stamps....I rely on the computer, which isn't a bad thing but it is lovely having some stamped!!! I sponged the edges, paper pierced and attached it to a scalloped rectangle which I have cut down to make a square ( amazing what you can come up with when you have to!). This was attached to the DP with 3D foam dots, as was the scalloped circle. I added a length of velver ribbon as well as a length of lace with the final touch being the black pearl added to a coiple of corners. This was very simple and fairly quick to make, I am happy with the results - what do you think!?
I do appreciate you stopping in - don't forget to leave a comment so I know you have been...I would hate to miss you!!
Oh Linda... a beautiful verse for me today. I love the beautiful paper and flower but the verse is just what I needed tonight! So glad you have a fun class to go to. I don't have anything like that close by here and I so wish I lived closer to a scrapbook store just so I could go to classes and have fun with other addicts! LOL!
