LOC Love Broke Through

I have scheduled this post as I am at the Beach with my family overnight and am so seriously addicted to blogging and YOU that I could not go without adding this card to show you from the Layers of Color New Release sets.  This set is the Touch of Elegance art stamp set and is just stunning it makes it easy to make a card elegant!!  The corner flourish is from the Old World Flourishes Set - I have used this one often as a corner, it just adds that little touch that can be missing! A crochet flower and and pearls have been added along with a torn sponged corner to the other side!

I stamped the image and placed it under some torn and inked DP, which I have torn one edge and sponged around the edges.  I have also used the Regal Wings set either side of this image, this has been stamped with Distressing Ink, lightly chalked and had light touches of Kindy Glitz added.

A strip of lace is added along the bottom edge and lowers added to the corner - flowers and lace go hand-in-hand don't  they! Some MC punched branches (thanks to Lesley aka Marleygo) have been added along with pearl brads.

It is also for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge where it is all about treasures and this scripture was our inspiration:

Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Our challenge is to not hoard our 'bling' and treasures but to use them on a card - I love pearls and lace - lace is one of my great treasures and I use it carefully...and I love Kindy Glitz - definitely a treasure!!

It is also for the Quixotic Challenge where we are to use lace - I just LOVE lace!!

Thank you for looking and your encouraging comments - I love seeing that you have been!!  I will be thinking of you as I am relaxing by the pool, sunning myself and catching up on some reading (craft magazines of course - I have packed 10 of them - do you think I will have enough - we are only gone for one night! LOL!)  God bless you!!

EDIT - how typical - I scheduled this to come up while I was away - I am now back and it has just posted - what can you do!!  LOL!!
