SSIC LOC Look to the Lord

Sunday comes around so quickly - and you know what Sunday means - it is the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge,  This week it is brought to us by the very lovely Randi.  the scripture that Randi has chosen is:

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; And with His stripes we are healed.   Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)

Randi has challenged us to use stripes on your card, project, or LO in some way!

I have used the Layers of Color Royal Birds art stamp sets, along with Gothic Crosses.    I love these images, they work perfectly with any style.

I often like to see what the Message says, it is a very lose translation but it can help clarify - this is what is says - 'But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him--our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed.'  Normally Iwould expound a bit more on this but as you will read below, I am not able to this week, as we have gone interstate for my DH's Grandmother's funeral, but hope to add more when I get back - so please bear with me!!
Thank you to this weeks sponsor

  7. Hi Linda~

I love this card! I love the colors and the paper... the whole effect is wonderful. I love how the cross looks! Fabulous...as usual.

Linda-of course feel free if you do not want this showing. I wanted to get the info to you ASAP:

    Hi Linda,

I wanted to let you know that there is a brand new blog starting called: He IS Able: Sharing His Word, His Love, His Gift of Salvation through Cards!

The blog will go public this Wednesday, June 30th for us to start our first card give-away! You can find us at:

    http://He-IS-Able.blogspot.com

The cards, altered items or bookmarks are from artists all over, that way anyone can help serve Him as we spread His Word, His Love, His Gift of Salvation to people through cards!

The winners are randomly chosen, and as the cards will be blank on the inside, they can write whatever they would like to the card recipient.

I'm happy to pay the postage for the winner of the card and the final card recipient... I just need 2 envelopes sent with each card to be able to pull that off!

So, of course I am asking, if you would please donate a card or ten, or any other number!? Seriously, I would love to have your cards used to Serve Him in this blog!

I see the blog as His, and I am a vessel He is working through, as with the artists also.

The cards have Scriptures, or Flowers and a Sentiment, A word, like "Faith" or "Blessings," anything that reminds them of His Love, or their Love for Him.

I would love to offer you as much recognition as possible. Please let me know if I may thank you in the blog post...AND, if I should use your real name...or user name. (Please make sure I know the name!) For more recognition, you have the option to have what you would like written in the blog entry itself, if you like. If you choose this option, I will enter exactly what you have written for the blog. You could write about how you made the card, your Testimony, How you serve the Lord, What the Lord has done for you, about your blog, anything that is appropriate. Please include a link to your blog, gallery or craft store if you would like it linked to your card! Please put a paper with this information inside the card you are sending! IF you wish to remain anonymous...please make that clear. Please list a way that I can contact you in the event of follow-up questions. (If I can't read something, for example.)

Great news! I really wanted to have 100 cards to start the blog. I have several surprises that I would love to do. 100 cards are needed to accomplish that goal. We have received 53 cards the first week that an announcement went out! How wonderful is that?! There are 23 cards promised...and when those arrive, we will only need 24 cards to reach this month's goal! Fabulous! He IS providing! Will you please do your best to help me reach our goal for June and July? Please send cards and share this info with as many friends or blog readers as you can!

If you have ANY questions...please don't hesitate...you can reach me at SplitCoastStampers or at home:

p.s. More great news! 5 more beautiful cards were just received...19 more cards needed for this month! And, of course, there is always next month!

    He IS Able,
