Things are rolling along nicely over at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge and we have heaps of inspiration for you fromt he Design Tam. We are all loving visiting your Blogs ande seeing you fabulous cards - you inspire us so much - keep them coming!!
This week I have two cards for you again, the first one is using one of Priscillas new inages ''The Nanny! This card was a lot of fun to make, I loved Priscillas card and tried to do something different, I colured this 'happy pair with my SU Chalks, cutting them pout and popping them up on foam tape into a Labels 4 Nesitbilitie that has been embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
I gave my Cuttlebug a good work out with this card - I used the larger Labels 4 and cut another frame in green and added it behind creating a frame - sis I stop there - NO - I used that funny little Die from the Vintage Corners, cutting each in half diagonally and popped it behind each corner of the frame. To this I added some flowers and Bling - the little flowers are from a punch I picked up for $3 at Target (on sale) and never used as the petals kept falliing off the flowers - than I had a REVELATION and used thicker card - much better - sometimes I 'skeer' myself!
The rest of the card is self explanatory! When I asked my family what to call ths card my DS said 'A Mother's Touch' LOL - what is with that!??!
Now onto the second card - here I have used our weekly sponsors image Sophie's Floral Hat by D'Amour Allure. I love this image Jeni and she was a pleasure to colour - as you may gather - I love colouring!!
I used similar framing and added flowers as per Priscilla's sketch. The Stampin' Up DP was also embossed for added texture.
You can see the dimension here, plus the added photo corners with pearls and that gorgeous lace - I love lace on a card!

Love both your cards, but the blue one really appeals - maybe I am generally a more CAS cardmaker ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou are a real inspiration my friend.

Linda-I see that you had some competition with the two card submissions this week. Someone is trying to take over your favorite spot!!! I am not naming names, but being your BFF I have pointed it out to them...lol Both your cards are just wonderful this week again Linda. I love your attention to detail and your coloring techniques. Simply fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteBear Hugs,
Carol :O}
Once again, you have outdone yourself. I simply cannot choose this week which one is my favorite. I can tell you this though....your coloring technique shines on both of these cards. Thanks so much for going the extra mile and giving us two cards again! Blessings, Tracy PS....I could stay all day on your blog.
ReplyDeleteWow! Both cards are gorgeous. The green cs on the first card looks like embossed metal, I love this. A mother's touch, huh? You gotta be "cruel to be kind", maybe? LoL!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say in my defence.... Since Priscilla has not been here to comment yet I can not blame it on her cause then she might see it...but it is all her fault - it was not to try for the FAVE position at all... you belive me right? If you don't I see my self as the little girl beeing dragged of to time-out *LOL*
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Linda! I really like the Sadie card, the blue looks so good! And the blue flower is stunning!

Both stunning cards Linda. And as always your colouring is beautiful..Hugs...Loz
ReplyDeleteLinda, Linda, Linda, I already told Gunn that since you are both making 2 cards this week and trying to grab the fave spot, that next week I will make 3 cards. Did you hear that? Three cards!!! You're both lucky it's summer and I don't have the extra time. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, as much as I go on about you with our little games, girl you really have the most incredible talent. These 2 cards prove it. Your use of Priscilla's beautiful image is done to perfection, both in coloring and fabulous deatils.
Your creation using the D'Amour Allure image is so STRIKING. You pulled the majority of the attention to the awesome image! Your lace, flowers and die cuts just sweeten the deal.
You did an incredible job on both creations this week Linda.
Hugs

This card is so beautiful! Thanks for joining us at Paper Playtime this week!
ReplyDeleteLinda, two lovely cards this week!! Are you trying to make me look bad?? Your image by Priscilla is probably what you and your mother looked like a few years ago. I can imagine you were a handful. You are an exceptional card creator, but SuperNan is sure right on your tail....better watch out she is HOT!!!

The "I Like Your Style" blog award you have... did you know my daughter took that picture of herself and that's her eye? I had her create me a custom blog award I could pass out. It still amazes me to surf the blogs and see my daughter's artwork on other's pages. It
