Welcome to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week. What an amazing number of players last week - it is such a pleasure to visit you and be inspired!
This weeks challenge is hosted by our dear Sistah Rebekka who has chosen this fabulous scripture
Those who know your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. --Psalm 9:10
Rebekka has challenged us to use Things that secure! Buttons, no less then 3!! I have to say I found this so challenging and was nearly pulling my hair out with this card.
I have used this divine from the Gleefully Yours image illustrated by Nina Brackett for GinaK Designs- I have many plans for this image, it is can be so nostalgic as well as funky!
The Sentiment is from the Fanciful Tags set also by Nina Brackett. I have placed a button next to it and added a large gem on it - it seems that in the thousands of buttons I have, I did not have 3 buttons that suited this card - how frustrating is that!? But I officially have three buttons on this card! LOL!
I cut out the image and popped it up onto some chocolate card stock using foam tape for dimension, adding paper piercing around the border.
This card is for the following challenges:
ECP Challenges - Something for the Boys
Little Claires - Anything Goes
Guylou's Inimitibility - Anything Goes
Tellen's Place - Buttons
CCEE Stampers - Distress your Papers
Delightful Challenges - Use Your Scraps
Do You Stack Up? - Anything Goes
Paper Romance - Anything Goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp and Show - Some Stripes
Paper Play - Lets Get Sentimental
Tip Tip Tuesday - Bling It On
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Southern Girls - Brads, Gems or Dew Drops
Card Cupids - Ribbon and/or Buttons
Phew!! I am so relieved to know that God does not forsake those who seek Him!! There is no one else that can make that claim. We can certainly have that intention, but the reality is that each one of us is human and that quality alone means that we will let each other down - whether it be intentionally or unintentionally BUT NOT GOD - He will not forsake us!It is those who know His name that will trust in Him and seek Him. It is one thing to know about someone, but totally another to know them! I know when I get to Heaven and stand before the Lord, I want to know Him by name, not just have read about Him and know of His ways, I want to know Him by name, this to me means have a relationship with Him.
What a comfort to know that when times get hard, when we are going through things that even those closest to us cannot relate to, or perhaps don't know about - that He is there with us though it all! This is such a wonderful promise - I long to be one who seeks Him daily and will always know His name - secure in His promise that He is always there with me - it doesn't get much better than this!! I pray that you have that assurance too!
