SSIC LOC Glad Tidings

The Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us this week by one stamper everyone knows and loves - Lisa Hjulberg.

Lisa has chosen the verse:

'Come now, and let us reason together,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’

Isaiah 1:18

And challenged us to use fall colors in your creation: crimson, orange and gold (or similar)

I have used the is fabulous DP from Basic Grey as my colours - yes there is red in there - in those tiny flowers!  The divine image is the Layers of Color Glad Tidings art stamp set.

The image has been but with the Spellbinders Lacey Circles and sponged with Distress Inks. The birds have been lightly coloured with SU Chalks and has 3D Kindy Glitz added.

The sentiment is also from the Glad Tidings art stamp set and has been cut out with the Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Die, using the Grand Calibur!

The Gold borders are from the Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs Die - one of my favourite Dies, designed by Nina Brackett

LOC Christmas Joy

How many sleeps is it until Christmas - it is getting less by the day! LOL!  I am loving creating Christmas Cards with the newest release Layers of Color art stamps

The Christmas Blessings art stamp set is one that is very popular - but no surprises there with gorgeous images like this one

It co-ordinates with Spellbinders Labels 18, which makes it so much easier to create a lovely card very quickly.  Naturally it was but out using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - my cutting tool of preference!!

Some Christmas Sparkle has been added to the dove with 3D Kindy Glitz - and some light shading on the script to add a more vintage feel

A Martha Stewart Snowflake, sparkle and bling - just says Christmas, although here in Australia it is far from snowing - Christmas is HOT HOT HOT!!

Lace, Liquid Pearls and dimension and it is complete!!

LOC Angel Face

It has been a fun few weeks with the Layers of Color new release followed closely by the Ornament Blog Hop - what an amazing amount of inspiration there is to be found, if you haven't been there yest - make sure you check it out!

The added bling is a mixture of recycled gems from broken jewellery (I love to recycle) and a couple of gorgeous crystals from my dear friend Denise!

LOC Joyful Ornament

Only a few sleeps now until the Layers of Color Ornament Blog Hop - I am getting excited as I know there is an overwhelming amount of inspiration and sheer beauty awaiting us all!

Christmas is approaching so quickly now and if where you live is anything like where I live, the Christmas decorations are going up in the shops and those overseas cards and parcels are starting to make their way to the recipients.

I am so pleased to have my cards made early, thank you to the newest releases from Layers of Color.  This card has used the Christmas Verses and Nature Walk art stamp sets.  I have also used one of my newest Spellbinders Dies - the Postage Stamp - it has been cut with the Grand Calibur - my 'must have' tool!.

SSIC LOC Timely

Happy Sunday - I hope yours is wonderful, they certainly go by quickly.  It is time for this weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge and this week it is hosted by the lovely MariLynn who has chosen this well known scripture from Ecclesiastes

MariLynns challenge to us this week is to make a card that shows the passing of time. A clock ( for hours) a sun (for days) a calendar for (years) etc

I have used a Spellbinders Die for my clock - it has been sponged with Distressing Ink and popped up with foam tape.  The Wings and the Crown are from the  Layers of Color Regal Wings art stamp set.

LOC Christmas Verses

A very quick post from me today - I have just spent a few days away with my DH celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary - it was the most fabulous time - I was spoilt daily by my wonderful husband and have to say I loved it!!

 But who wouldn't - we are talking Chauffeured Drivers, Horse and carriage rides, continual dining out, shopping unlimited, talking, laughing - wonderful!

I will be back with some photos over the next few days, but in the meantime I am sharing this card I have created using the Layers of Color Christmas Verses art stamp set and KandCompany DP.

One of the flowers on the DP has been but out and popped up onto foam tape.  The lower flower has also been cut out and popped up onto some lace, with a pearl swirl added.

You can see more of the dimension in this photo and the gorgeous Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles and the Classic Rectanges Lge, that has been cut with the Grand Calibur - speaking of which, I have just received the Raspberry Mat that is used for embossing with the Grand Calibur and cannot wait to 'run it in!'
