Art Competition

I entered this project into an Art Competition at our local Art Centre

I was hesitant but my DH was persistent

The cake slices have been created over time

using Layers of Color clear art stamp sets

along with Layers of Color Art Stencils, braid, lace, ribbon, pearls and bling.  I added some rich vintage braid around the base of the Cake Dome and the knob on the top

adding my all time favourite butterfly, from the Flutterescent clear art stamp set, layering and adding that much LOVED shimmer

I am very grateful to my wonderfully talented photographer husband for taking these photos, he also entered a photograph.  The competition was very high as they had opened the catagories and there was every form of art work.  Although we didn't win, I have been asked to keep my 'Slice of Heaven' there on display until Christmas and I am honoured to do so!  It was a fabulous experience.

I have used Layers of Color Flutterescent, Honey sweet, Flowering Gems, Nature Walk and Glad Tidings clear art stamp sets, Delicious Dots, Botanical Swirls and Belle Brocade art stencils.
