LOC Thinking of You

I just love my Spellbinders Dies - there is such a variety and we all know how much they add to our cards....what did we do before this addiction.....LOL!

I especially love these Spellbinders Nested Tea Cups illustrated by Laura Kirste Campbell

I have cut them out using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur, I love the crisp cut it gives and the deep embossing.

I used the Dies as a mask for sponging with Distressing Ink once they had been cut out...it is always such an effective technique.  The Bee is from the Honeysweet clear art stamp set and has been cut out with the wings popped up on foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set and cut out with the co-ordinating Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Die.

The saucer is from the Spellbinders Floral Doily Accent Die and is partially stamped with the Honeysweet clear art stamp set - the same one the bee comes from.

This card is for the following challenges:
One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad - The Letter "B" (bee)
Crafty Emma - Lots of Layers
Hiding in my Craft Room - Super Scraps Saturday - use up those scraps

Now for a little 'insider information' LOL!  As you may have read by now, Layers of Color is no longer manufacturing their stamps or selling them online.  The owner and artist, Laura Kirste Campbell is now a full-time product designer for major craft industry companies.  You can find out the details here.  But, despite this bitter sweet transition, more new and unique Layers of Color style stamp designs designed by Laura will soon be available worldwide this Spring!  A more detailed announcement is coming soon...and I cannot wait!!

Can you handle a little bit more excitement - Nina Brackett will also be illustrating for this company - so it is WIN:WIN!!

Thank you for visiting today - I always appreciate the time it has taken you to come and leave a comment - I read each one and you know I love to see you! God bless you!
