AIR #1 November Artists Choice

I am sharing a tutorial as Artist in Residence for Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko - it is the Artists Choice and I have gone back to one of my first loves - colouring.  As far back as I can remember I have always loved colouring - so could not resist this opportunity - it is like therapy!



Supplies: 

  • IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Dye Ink Bamboo Leaves,  Memento Markers - Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves, Love Letter; VersaFine Archival Pigment Ink: Onyx Black;  Delicata Pigment Ink Golden Glitz; Sponge Daubers
  • Penny Black Inc: "Petal Party" stamp set
  • Authentique Paper:  Joyous
  • Spellbinders: Nestabilities Lacey Circles; Grand Calibur machine
  • Want2Scrap: 72 Count Rhinestones - Self adhesive
  • Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ - E-Z Runner Permanent Adhesive' foam squares
  • Card stock: Emerald Green, Red, White
  • Miscellaneous: adhesive, Foam Squares Seam Binding;
Directions:
Step 1 Cut green card base to 4-1/2˝ x 6-1/2˝, Scor at 4 1/2˝
Step 2 Cut patterned paper to 4 1/4˝ x 4 1/4˝, the second piece 4 1/4˝ x 1 3/4˝
Step 3 Cut a third square of patterned paper to 2 3/4˝ x 2 3/4˝
Step 4 Sponge around the edges of all patterned paper using Memento Dye Ink in Bamboo Leaves

Step 5 Adhere patterned paper to card base using E-Z Runner Permanent Adhesive
 




Step 6 Cut red the card to 3˝ x 6˝ Scor at 3˝
Step 7 Adhere the sponged patterned paper 
Step 8 Adhere to the center of the card base using E-Z Runner Permanent Adhesive on the back as shown in the photo below and tape it to the inside of the card. Make sure the fold of the smaller flap is facing down



 
Step 9 Cut/emboss one (1) Lacey Circles #3 Dies - Spellbinders number from the smallest to the largest, the smallest being #1
Step 10: Use the Die as a Stencil and sponge inside of the Lacey Circle using Delicata Pigment Ink using a Jumbo Dauber




Step 11 Stamp one (1) flower from the Petal Party stamp set in the center of the Lacey Circle and one on white card using Versafine Archival Pigment Ink: Onyx Black
Step 12 Cut out the flower on card and colour using Memento Markers - Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves, Love Letter.  
Step 13 Curl the leaves under and adhere to the center of the second flower using liquid adhesive
Step 14 Add a large bling to the center
Step 15 Adhere the Lacey Circles to the front panel




*Optional Step to secure the flap from opening
Step 16  Cut one small circle in patterned paper and one the next size up in red card
Step 17 Sponge around the edges of the smaller circle
Step 18 Attach the smaller circle to the larger one using foam squares
Step 19 Attach foam squares to the lower portion of the circle and adhere to the lower corner of the card slightly over the edge of the smaller flap to keep it closed.




Step 20 Attach Seam binding around the lower flap of the card, securing with E-Z Runner Permanent Adhesive
Step 21 Attach a double Seam Binding bow to the right side of the card as shown below.
