Old Man Birthday

Hello friends - It is Monday evening there for me in Australia and I have had a reasonably productive day - so that has to be good - doesn't it!!  In among real life and creative deadlines it is always nice to make something just because....and this is one of those cards.

I was given a big container of cards that were made years ago and am upcycling them where I can - of course all of the cardstock is going to be reused, but there are a few images that just have to be on a card - and this is one of them.

The 'old man' has been cut out by hand and popped up onto white cardstock using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares, which has been layered onto a precut patterned square (recycled).  My base card has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Rectangles  - I have to say, this is a favourite Die to use for a card base.  The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz stamp set.  The splatters have been added using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko irRESISTibles in Electric Blue, Electric Yellow and Electric Orange - a great look for a party - don't you think!?

This card is for the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with optional twist: All That Glitters
