Butterfly Birthday

Hello friends,  thanks so much for stopping by.  Today's card was created for my youngest daughter who turned 20 yesterday.  I wanted it to be special so have brought out the 'Big Guns' - my Spellbinders Dies and Little Birdie Crafts flowers and Embellishments.

I created the card base by scoring Authentique Paper at 5cm, 5cm, 3cm, 3cm and 2cm to create the different height steps - so east to do, especially when using a good thick double sided paper.  Fold the card into mountain and valley folds to form the card base.

Cut/emboss four (4) white Corner Accents and Borders from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Amazing Paper Grace Swirl Bliss Etched Dies using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform. Adhere the Corners to the corners of the Step card, overlapping the ends to create a squares frame.  

Cut/emboss one (1) Nestabilities Hemstitch Circles Etched Dies Romancing the Swirl Becca Feeken #3 #4 (#1 being the smallest) using pink card stock.  Pop this up onto the centre of the layered corners using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Cut/emboss one (1) smaller circle using white card stock, adhere to the centre of the pink Hemstitch Circle.

Cut/emboss one Shapeabilities Wandering Butterflies Etched Dies Good Vibes Only Collection by Stephanie Low using the Wide Wings and white card stock, along with the Backer/base die using pink card stock.  Adhere the two layers together using liquid glue on the body.

The Little Birdie Crafts Flower is from the Vincy Ceram Collection, Beaded Micro Petals Shabby Chic, Catalina Charm.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Handcrafted Embellishments.  Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse has been trimmed and adhered to the base of the butterfly.  I have also added lace, and pearl braid.
