Hearts and Banners

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  It is Sunday evening here in the Southern Hemisphere - wet and windy - the perfect night to be creating!  I have a very eclectic card to share with you using some of my favourite products - there three different paper companies on the card - can you pick them?

The card front is created using Graphic 45 - Secret Garden Collection, the second layer using Authentique Paper and the top layer is using Kaisercraft Mint Wishes Collection - all great companies and go together so well.

The layers have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform and have been layered using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A plain shirt button has been glued to the centre of the heart with a Want2Scrap White Pearl in the centre, liquid glitter has been applied to the button and allowed to dry.

A pre-cut Scalloped Border from the  Kaisercraft Mint Wishes Collection has been  popped up along the top of the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares and two Banners from the Die D-Lites Amused 1 Etched Dies have been adhered under the Scalloped Border.

A double Seam Binding Bow has been adhered across the join of the patterned papers and a Little Birdie Crafts flower from the Paula Pastel Palette has been glued to the knot of the bow.

Cool Cat Birthday

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I have a change of pace to share with you today - something a little more whimsical with a masculine feel - I love these Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats and could not resist the opportunity to use one - I have to add this is a very quick and easy card to create!

I needed a masculine birthday card and used embossed card stock that was lying on my desk for my card front.  It has been sponged using Imagine Inks and some of the embossing outlined using a White Gel Pen - it definitely made the embossing stand out.  This has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The cat has been coloured using Chameleon Pens...

...and popped up onto a Spellbinders Shapeabilities Vintage Pierced Banners Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A computer generated sentiment has been popped up into the centre of the banner also using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Layered Stamping Technique

Hello friends, thanks so much  for stopping by!  Today I have a card that is all about technique - I have been watching a few tutorials by Jennifer McGuire and this is the result of her Custom Stamp Layering Tutorial

I have stamped the floral outline  from the Penny Black Inc. Petal Power transparent stamp set using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk ink.  The solid image has been added to the stamp using Imagine Memento Luxe in Rose Bud; the 'details' added by 'removing' some of the ink using a Teflon Bone Folder before stamping onto the card stock.

The leaves have been stamped between the flowers using Imagine Memento Ink in Pistachio, inked up, the same image has been inked up using a darker ink - Bamboo leaves -  straight on the top of the lighter leaves - you can see the lighter green showing through, I have offset some of the darker leave to give a shadow effect. The images look layered but as we know, it is a single stamp.

Next I have cut/embossed the stamped layer using the largest die from the Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies using the Platinum Die Cutting  and Embossing Machine   This has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut pink card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A computer generated sentiment has been glued to the top left hand corner of the card front and Want2Scrap Baby Bling Rhinestones have been randomly added to the card front.

Jennifer McGuire has a great tutorial on this technique and you can click on it HERE

Cut and Emboss Bricks and Roses

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I am back with a card using the Spellbinders Rose Flourish Cut and Emboss Folder.  The more I use the Cut and Emboss folders the more I see how amazingly detailed they are, so quick and easy to use - they are totally addictive! Combine this with a standard Embossing  Folder and 'magic' happens! I hope I inspire you to check them out - you will not be sorry!

Cut/emboss the Rose Flourish Cut and Emboss Folder using white card stock and one pass through the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform.

Sponge the embossed pattern using Imagine Radiant Neon inks in Electric Purple, Blue, Yellow, Orange for the roses and Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves on the leaves. Fussy (cut/hand cut using scissors) around the Cut and Embossed pattern.

Emboss Kaisercraft patterned paper using the Embossing Folders Tammy Tutterow Designs Picnic and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform.  Lightly sand over the embossed patterned using a sanding block.  Trim to desired size and pop up onto a slightly larger white pre-cut card base Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares. Glue the hand cut Rose Flourish to the embossed card front.

Adhere a computer generated sentiment to the lower right corner of the card front and finish by adding faux enamel dots using Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Electric YellowIt is as easy as that!!
