Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Hello friends, thanks for stopping by my first post for 2019 - I had to think about that before I typed it LOL!  I love to stamp and am really loving the new Spellbinders stamps - and had a lot of fun using the Layered Butterflies Clear Stamps

Layered stamps are fabulous but if I am being honest I have to say I have had a few 'bloopers' when I first started using them, but have always believed that there are no such things as mistakes - they are rather 'opportunities for embellishment.' Wink:wink!

As you can see I literally 'missed the mark' with these butterflies but did not want to throw them away - the first thing I did was fussy cut/hand cut using scissors, each of the butterflies and sponged using Imagine Memento Inks and a Sponge Dauber, filling in any gaps - and you know the areas that I went over the edges with the second stamp - well it is nothing a White Gel Pen will not fix!

The card front has been embossed using the Spellbinders Flourish Stitch Em-bossing Fold'ers Quilt It by Lene Lok and lightly sanded using a Sanding Block.  This has been adhered to a slightly larger pre-cut white card base.  The Layered Butterflies have been adhered using glue in the centre and Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares under each wing and a pearl to the centre of the body.  Liquid Glitter has been lightly added to add some sparkle to the wings. The sentiment has been stamped onto white card stock using black ink, trimmed to size and edged using a Black marker.  Next it has been glued to the centre of the card front.

As you can see - all is not lost - the Layered Butterflies still look the part and that is what counts - what do you think?
