Spellbinders Grand Happy 50th Birthday Tutorial

Hello friends - welcome and thanks so much for visiting.  Today I am excited to be sharing a card I created using the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace® Collection - Elegant 3D Vignettes ! How beautiful are these Dies - and not as hard as they look to assemble - which is great don't you think!  I have combined three different sets of Dies from the Collection and wanted to show you how versatile they are - as you will see as you follow along.

'Elegant 3D Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken brings her romantic elegance style to the next level in a three–dimensional format. Most of this collection purposively makes a dimensional creation or offers elements to enhance a dimensional piece for a mix or match option' - Spellbinders

1. Cut.emboss five (5) Grand Cabinet 3D Card Etched Dies  pieces using the Grand Cabinet Outline and Inlay together, along with the Inner Cabinet Outline using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.
2. Cut.emboss one (1) Grand Cabinet 3D Card Etched Dies using the Grand Cabinet Outline and pink card stock.
Note: Alternate the layers in pink and white card stock, working from the solid pink back to the front.
3. Carefully trim the tabs off the sides of one of the 'open' Grand Cabinet Frame in white and the pink card back, using scissors or a paper trimmer - these two are for the front and back of the 3D Vignette.

4. Cut/emboss two (2) Grand Cabinet Side Panels using white card stock and both the frame and the insert.  The score lines run vertically.  Fold the scored tabs forward and adhere Strong Tape on each tab - on both Side Panels.
5 Lay the side panel down, tape side up, Lay the first TABLESS frame, which is pink, on the left side of it, butting up the flap right up next to the frame with no overlap. Peel the backing off the tape and line up - once you are sure they are even, adhere to the frame.
6. Line up the tab with the slot on the side panel, pull the tab through, noting there is a small slot at the bottom of each tab, gently pull these down to lock the layer into place- the bottom of each frame needs to be lining up.
7. Working from the back to the front, repeat this process. For the Grand Cabinet front - in the same way as the back, line up the TABLESS frame with panel, adhere the front to the side panel.
8.  For the other side - flip the inserts out of the way - and repeat the process with the other side of the card. Make sure each layer is locked in and straight across the bottom to prevent buckling once the layers are in place.
9. Adhere the front to the card in the same manner as the back, starting with the right side - if everything is in place it will just fall into place perfectly
10. Cut/emboss both the Happy Birthday in gold and Balloon Inserts using white from the Layered Happy Birthday Etched Dies, along with separate balloon in pink patterned paper - these have been adhered over the balloons for contrast.
11.Cut/emboss one number five and one zero using pink card stock with both the outer frame and filigree insert and the backer done using gold card stock and just the outer die.  Glue the two layers together,
12. Adhere the Happy Birthday to the centre of the second layer and the Balloon Insert to the fifth.  Adhere the Filigree Numbers to the front of the card.
13. Adhere flowers to the top of the Grand Cabinet Frame.  Adhere a pink double seam binding bow to the bottom left corner of the card using glue. Adhere a computer generated sentiment across the lower portion of the card front.

Note:  I have been asked, 'where do you write?' I have cut a Grand Cabinet outline without any inserts in white card stock to the card back, trimming of the tabs.
