At Stampin' Sisters In Christ today we are excited because it is our birthday - yes we are ONE YEAR OLD!!! To help us celebrate we have all our Design Team, past and present join us for a Blog Hop - how cool is that! If you came here from Laurie's Blog you are in the right place - if not you may want to start at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge as there are prizes to be won and you don't want miss anything - I hear some whispers that there are some 'CANDY' on some Blogs too - wahoo!! To win the main prize, make sure you visit each Design Team Member and then when you finish at the SSIC Blog, tell us which is your favourite scripture to be entered. You can find out how to win my Blog Candy further down the post!
There is also so much inspiration to be found as each Designer is sharing their favourite scripture with us today and creating a project inspired by it - I am so looking forward to seeing what this talented group of ladies has created!!
'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' Rom 8:28
This Scripture would have to be one of my all time favourite scriptures, I love the truth and the promise that it holds. When I read it, it says to me that although God certainly did not plan for this to happen to me, He has allowed it, therefore I am able to come through it. - whatever 'it' may be! Isn't it a relief to have that assurance!
I have used Layers of Color Flutterescent and Butterfly Collector Clear Art Stamps to create this card! The butterflies have been coloured with SU Chalks and had Kindy Glitz lightly added to give them a 'lift! The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs and was sent to be in a RAK from a friend - I love their scripture stamps. The pearl swirls are part of a prize I won from McMahon Five Designs and I have to tell you - I was so excited as I don't own any of these and although they are on my 'list' they are not at the top (sigh!) So I was holding my own party when I saw I had won them - thank you Sue - you are so very generous!
To 'sweeten the pot today' I have added a little Candy of my own and the winner will be drawn from those who leave a comment on my Blog, I am sure I will find some more goodies to add over the next few days!

Oh Lovely, Lovely Linda~
ReplyDeleteYou picked such a promising Scripture to highlight on your amazing card! I just love when this Scripture is told as you did...completely. So many times I hear or read "...All things work for the good of those who love the Lord." Period. They forget the very important part of "...according to His purpose." Thank you for reminding all of us about this amazing promise...and if we are going to work according to His purpose, we need to spend time with Him...quietly.
Linda~ Thank you for the fabulous and generous blog candy you are gifting away! It is very generous of you.
I love your card. The butterflies are just amazing...I love the wonderful look of their wings. And, the pearls seem to make them dance on that delicious paper!
Remember~
