SSIC LOC Keeping it Simple

It is time for this weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - what a treat is was to see all of the red, white and blue last week - your cards were amazing!!  Thank you for the inspiration you being each of us on the Design Team!
This weeks challenge is brought to us by the effervescent Peggysue

Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46
Peggysue has challenged us to do a CAS card - a real challenge for me - CAS does not come naturally for me - this page for my Paper Bag Album is about as CAS as it gets for me!  LOL!

I have used the Layers of Color Vintage Medallion art stencil for my background, sponging it with Distress Ink - it makes a great background and is so easy!  Add a fabulous flower from Prima and a sentiment from Autumn Leaves

and finish off with this divine leaf that was given to me in a RAK and it is easy and CAS from me!

I am happy to have one more page completed in my Paper Bag Album, I created it quite some time ago.  I never seem to put these together quickly, like some of you - I potter with them and do a bit here and there - but I get there eventually!

This project is for the following challenges:
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Craft Your Days Away - Vintage
Secret Crafter - Here Comes Summer
Wee Memories - Summertime
Be Inspired - Eye Candy Monthly Challenge - Use Purple and Green
Bling It On - Anything Goes
Class Act Insider - Vintage
Crafty Catz - Use Colours of Summer
Stampin for the Weekend - My Favourite Things - Layers of Color art stamps
Paper Shelter Challenge - Anything Goes
Ruby's Rainbow - Flowers
Scrapbook Sisters - Summer Fun

Being still - it sounds so easy, but is anything but!!  Being still is not merely a matter of sitting still, infact it really isn't anything to do with our physical state - but rather, as so many truths in the Word of God are - it is a state of the heart.

The pace of life today has become so fast, the days are moving at such an incredible rate that we find ourselves caught up in it and being still is the last thing possible, whether it is our minds, hearts or body!  We lose sight of the one truth that we need to stay focuses in, is infact a vital factor in our daily walk with Him.....being still and knowing that He is God.  God is sovereign and reigns over all the earth - His peace is there for us all, as we come before Him and be still, setting our minds and hearts on Him and who He is.  I pray that each of us will make the time to 'be still' - it is only then that we will know He is God!!
