Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by! After a busy morning with our 'Special needs chicken', Peggy, who is 'off colour' and a visit to the vet - I have finally found time to sit and write a post before she needs picking up after spending the day there. I am not sure whether to donate an organ or start a 'Go Fund' me to cover the bill - arghhh!! The things you do......
For my slightly 'Mixed Media' card I have used Kaisercraft patterned paper from my stash, it has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. The faux stitching has been drawn around using a white Gel Pen.
Blue paint has been randomlysponged across the patterned paper and allowed to dry. Once it dried I have used a Little Birdie Crafts Stencil and texture paste, also randomly and allowed it to try. The card front has been layered onto a slightly larger teal pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.
The narrow strip across the card front is from Kaisercraft has been adhered using double sided tape. - it is actually the reverse of the name strip along the bottom of the paper but was too pretty not to use. I have added narrow paper lace along both sides of the strip
A large white (and older) Kaisercraft flower has been stamped with a script stamp and Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal and onto the narrow strip of patterned paper, The Chipboard sentiment across the centre of the flower is from Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company and Want2Scrap Beautiful Bling Borders has been trimmed and adhered either side, with Baby Bling - Turquoise Rhinestones added.

Not just a card but a work of art. We don't see enough of die-cutting patterned papers or embossing them. The added paint gives such an arty and grungy feel to this make. I hope that Peggy is feeling better. Thank you so much for joining in the challenge at 'A Place to Start' and good luck. Tina Chianna DT
