Art is You Australian Mixed Media Roadshow

Hello Blog Friends, as you can imagine we have hit the ground with our feet running and I have not had the opportunity for another update...so today I will do my best to give you a brief look at some of the NSW Retreat.

I taught my first all day Mixed Media Workshop and I have to tell you it was full on ... 6 hours of technique, Dies, bling, ink and fabulous, ours paper, glues and tape....the ladies all did a wonderful job and we had a lot of fun along the way.

Food was never an issue...or maybe it was because there was so much of it and the quality was fabulous.  A little sneak peek of one morning tea...

It was great to catch up with Facebook friends, Amy, Kel-lea and Meryll and meet so many new friends, all who have th same passion.

Also got to meet some of the amazing artists yet there eg. Jane Davenport, who is a bundle of energy.

Fell in love with Carol Cantrell, Jan Crossley and I adopted her as our 'Rent a Mum' .. She is the sweetest lady....(pssst Carol, I hope this makes me the favourite now! LOL! )

As you may have noticed I am way behind on my posts ... I could.d give you all kinds of fancy excuses but the truth is we are so busy each day that at night when I go to finish my post....sleep wins!  But I will post this tonight even if it is not finished.....

Our next stop was Berrima, on the way to Melbourne via Canberra...it was wet, meet, wet!  Unpacking the bags was a challenge....but thanks to Michael and Seth, under the watchful eye of Andrea, it all managed to be unpacked and packed up again.

Check out the rubbish...Rafferty's Resort packed some snack boxes for our trip

Okay, that is it for me tonight...tomorrow I will share Canberra and a little touch of Melbourne

Thanks so much for stopping by today...you know ai love to see you.  I appreciate all of the love and support along the way.

Bird House Blues

I would consider myself anything but a minimalist, especially when it comes to creating.  When I created a card for a Spellbinders new release, I did not embellish this birdhouse with the aim of showcasing the gate Die - you can see the Tutorial HERE

I could not resist adding some Maya Road flowers, along with some of the Sprigs
 Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™

The adorable Bird is from the Tweets  Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™ that comes with a base and a filigree layer - so many options.  I have coloured the top layer using Imagine Crafts/ Tsukineko inks.   The gate is cut from the Gate Element  Spellbinders® Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™.  All Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner have been used on these cards.  The bling is from Want2Scrap.

This card is from the following challenges:

Hello Blog Friends, I have been doing a little bit of recycling.  I created these tags some time ago for a Spellbinders Tutorial and decided they would be great on cards....as you can see in these photos.  I created 4 tags but am just showing two cards.

The card base is cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine A2 Valiant Honor   Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator and the tag base is the Labels Twenty-Five Spellbinders Nestabilities®.

Happy Day

I love using up those leftover pieces of patterned paper - patchwork is perfect and uses those leftovers that are too pretty to thrown away.  I also have a card on the Want2Scrap Blog
using the same technique for the background paper.

I keep a box close by to keep all of the little squares in and will do a run of backgrounds to be used at a later date.

The Frames Two Spellbinders Die D-Lites frames the layered flower beautifully and the chipboard frame is from my stash.  I have also used some Faux Lace that I created previously.  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner have been used on this card, along with the white Photo Corners, that have been inked using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento Luxe™ Mixed Media Pigment Ink in Rose Bud.  Want2Scrap pearls have been added.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Allsorts - Favorite Things
