Heartfelt Thanks

Hello friends, I hope you are all doing well...we have only a few days until it is officially spring and the weather is lovely at the moment - bite before too long we will be complaining that it is too hot!! LOL! Never happy are we!!?

I am sharing a card today using the Thank You Stamp by Tammy Tutterow - I do love this heart and sentiment - so perfect for a thank you. I have coloured it using Imagine Crafts Memento Markers, then hand up using scissors.  This has then been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L  3D Foam Squares.  The background paper has been embossed using the  Spellbinders Cascading Hearts Die - did you know you can use the Dies like embossing folders - how cool is that!!! The beautiful bling is from Want2Scrap and adds such a pretty touch.

Spellbinders Vertical Chain Layout Tutorial

Hello friends - today I have a Tutorial to share for Spellbinders - I am trying to catch up with Scrapbooking - when I saw this Die - I knew it would be perfect.  Dies are not limited to card making - but can be used on any project - add some of the fabulous stamps available and the possibilities are endless.

Spellbinders Products:

• S6-084 Card Creator Vertical Chain Card Front Etched Dies
• SBS-033 Seth Apter Turnarounds Set 2 Stamps
• PL-001 Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine

Other:

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Imagine Crafts: Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk and Teal Zeal; Sponge Dauber; Red Corrugated card; Washi Tape; Kaisercraft: stick on Bunting, sentiment stickers

1. Cut/emboss one (1) Vertical Chain Card Front using both frame and insert, with cream cardstock.

2. Cut/emboss one (1) Vertical Chain Card Front frame using red corrugated card.

3. Adhere the cream card front to the Die-cut corrugated card.

4. Overlap the photo to the lower left hand portion of the card front, tucking under the middle row of circles.

6. Sponge ares of the red corrugated card using white ink and a sponge dauber.

7. Adhere star embellishments, to the middle row of circles.

8. Adhere numbers to the stars (eg 2014)

9. Attach to blue designer paper using double sided tape - positioned as in main photo,

10. Adhere Kaisercraft sentiment stickers to the right side of the photo.

11. Randomly stamp both Seth Apter Turnarounds Set 2 Stamps using green and red ink12.Adhere Kaisercraft sentiment stickers to the right side of the photo.12.Adhere three strips of Washi Tape to the lower left corner of the layout13.Stamp sentiment stamp above the Washi Tape.14.Colour the sentiment stamp using white ink on the letters and Blue on the circle15.Stamp a texture stamp inside the circles using blue ink.16.Add Bunting diagonally across the top right corner, overlapping onto the photo17.Add white splotches across the layout - avoiding the photoTake care friends and Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Mixed Media Birthday

Hello friends, how has your week going so far?  I decided to take a break from deadlines and 'play'.  Often when the household is in bed I can be found in The Studio, watching a good forensic show/ or murder and creating - I have used product lying on my desk - yet another attempt at cleaning - it is much more fun this way! LOL!

I have used the Spellbinders Mary Border Strip as my focal point.  My background paper is very special - it is handmade - a pack was given to everyone at the first Australian Mixed Media Roadshow by a lovely lady and artist Carol Cantrell. I  have sponged using Imagine Inks, stamped using various background images and splotched using Imagine Texture Sprays - it was a whole lot of fun - almost like therapy!!

The embellishment is handmade and coloured using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks.  I have also used  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares - my 'go to' adhesives.

Birthday Flowers

Hello friends - I hope you have had or are still having a relaxing weekend.  I actually created this post last night but when I hit publish it disappeared - argghhh #firstworldproblems!  I was able to enjoy some time in The Studio doing something that I love - colouring - it is one of my favourite things to do - I won my first colouring competition at 10 years old- loved it then and love it now!!

The Penny Black Inc. Butterfly Suite image has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  It has then been cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Die (now retired) and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  

and coloured using Memento Markers and an Aqua Brush.

The sentiment is computer generated and has been popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  

Finishing off with a button, twine and a bow. Nice and easy and such a pretty image - don't you think!?

Celebrate Today

Hello friends - I have been busy trying to clean my desk - but it has become a matter of 'faux' cleaning - you know what that is don't you - where we start off with every good intention of cleaning, but then get distracted by what is on there and end up 'faux'cleaning' - cleaning by using up the things lying around - LOL - still cleaning though - right!! Wink:wink

I have used a leftover piece of patterned paper that was just too 'happy' to throw out - this has been paired with some handmade patterned card stock and cut/embossed using Spellbinders A2 Modern Stationery Card Creator Die. Co-ordinating patterned paper has been cut into strips and added - as shown above.

For the background paper I have stamped using images from Seth Apters Faded Fragments Stamp set and added some splatters and white paint.

The embossed image is from my stash and has been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks  and popped up onto the card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The computer is computer generated and has also been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  

Quick and easy and leaves my desk just a little bit clear - but only just!!

Other : Liquid Glue;  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Want2Scrap:  White - Self Adhesive; Imagine Crafts: Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Sponge Daubers; 

1. Stamp the Totally You Tag Stamp using black ink.

2. Stamp the Totally You sentiment using black ink.

3. Cut/emboss the Tag using the Totally You Tag Die 

4. Use the Die as a stencil, sponging the inside of the Tag Die.

5. Thread the stamped and sponged banner through the Tag.

6. Adhere the layered Tag to the *Negative Die from the Robo Squares.

*NOTE: The Negative Die is the portion left after you have cut your main Die.

7. Emboss the white cardstock using the Floral Em-bossing Folder.

8. Trim to size (3 3/4" x 4 1/2"),adhere the layered dies to the embossed layer.

9. Adhere to pre-cut pink card base (4" x 4 3/4")

10. Stamp the Rose stamp from the Beauty and Elegance stamp set using Black Ink.

11 Colour the image using medium of choice.

12.Cut/emboss the coloured Rose using the Beauty and Elegance Rose Die 

13. Pop up above the tag on 3D Foam Squares.

14. Adhere lace under the sentiment.

15. Attach a double seam binding bow to the left side of the card as shown.

16. Adhere a small mulberry rose to the center of the bow using liquid glue.

17. Adhere pink pearls to the corners of the Robo Square and along the lace.
