Hello friends - I hope you have had or are still having a relaxing weekend.  I actually created this post last night but when I hit publish it disappeared - argghhh #firstworldproblems!  I was able to enjoy some time in The Studio doing something that I love - colouring - it is one of my favourite things to do - I won my first colouring competition at 10 years old- loved it then and love it now!!

The Penny Black Inc. Butterfly Suite image has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  It has then been cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Die (now retired) and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

and coloured using Memento Markers and an Aqua Brush.

The sentiment is computer generated and has been popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Finishing off with a button, twine and a bow. Nice and easy and such a pretty image - don't you think!?

It's a Man Thing

Hello friends, we are warm and cosy inside - the same cannot be said for the weather outside - an Antarctic blast is expected this weekend and it is building up daily.....what better weather to stay inside and create!! My card today was created for a masculine birthday

The image from Hot off the Press 'Masculine Collage' has been stamped using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Memento Markers and an Aqua Pen.

The image has been hand-cut and layered onto a Spellbinders Decorative Labels One that has been cut/embossed, the die used as a stencil before removing the Die-cut, the inside being sponged using Delicata Golden Glitz and a Sponge Dauber.  The cog image has been stamped prior to die cutting.  The layered Die has then been attached to the pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment has been stamped using VersaFine Vintage Sepia.  Finishing off with random splatters of white and grey paint.

Social Butterflies

Hello friends - always nice to have you visit.  Today I am sharing a card created Mixed Media card using Penny Black Inc. Social Butterflies stamp set - these are some of my favourite butterflies - designed by my lovely friend Laura Kirste.

I am really enjoying creating my own backgrounds - patterned or collage.  For this card I have stamped the butterflies first, then sponged the layer using Imagine Crafts Inks and stamped random images on it.  The butterflies have been coloured using the beautiful summertime colours of Radiant Neon Inks and a Sponge Dauber - so easy, as well as being effective.   Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card. I think this card would be suitable for so many occasions - or just because!

Smile

Hello Blog Friends - I have had a little but of 'spare time' in The Studio and have enjoyed creating a collage style card using bits and pieces that are gathering on my desk - personally I love creating this way - it is a challenge to bring them together in a way that looks like 'it was meant to be!'

The base for this card has been cut/embossed using the A2 Curved Matting Basics A Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator.  I have used some gorgeous patterned paper I received in a RAK - I love it and it lends itself to collage style - in my opinion anyway! This has been layered onto the card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape.

The bird image is from the Kaisercraft Fly Free Acrylic stamp set and has been coloured using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Memento Inks.  The image has then been cut out by hand/fussy cut and popped up onto the pattered paper using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. Kindy Glitz has been lightly added for a 'touch' of shimmer,

I have written the sentiment by hand, A precut frame has been adhered over the top and Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer has been added over the top.  This has been popped up onto an oval tag from the Fleur de Elegance Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Decorative Accents, this has been sponged using Tsukineko Memento Dye Ink in Teal Zeal and adhered using double sided tape.  Random 'dots' of Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Dandelion have been added to the background, along with Washi Tape.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy's Challenge - Add Embellishments
Cards in Envy - Inspired by a Song (Songbird by Fleetwood Mac)
The Corrosive Challenges Mixed media
We Love 2 Create  - Anything Creative / Mixed Media/ Creative

Collages

It has been a busy few days on my Blog and today is Canberra's 100th birthday so I am trying to limit my computer time (LOL) I have a quick post today, sharing the cards I am teaching at my Card Design Class this week

I love the collage style card  and my first card is created using Penny Black Inc butterfly suite image and added a few extra touches.  The image has been cut out using the Spellbinders A2 Distressed Edges  Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator and the the Grand Calibur Machine.

The masculine card is created using a set of Hero Arts stamps that my DH got me a couple of years ago and have only just seen ink (shhhh)  I was inspired by a card on Pinterest and will come back and link it as soon as I find what board I pinned it too!  Both cards have Want2Scrap bling - I love the way bling can be used on masculine cards too - even if it is minimal!

These cards are for the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
Eclectic Ellapu - Birthdays (card two)
 Gingerloft - The Colour Green
 Glitter n Sparkle - St.Pat`s/Use Green
Great Impressions - Going Green
Stamptacular Sunday - To Die For
Catch The Bug - Theme, Green Thumb
Card Makin' Mamas - Green
Creative Corner - Go Green
Simply Create Too - St Patricks day or use mostly green

I told you this would be a quick post - we are going to make the most of a Public Holiday - but I do know there will be some crafting time a bit later - if you know me you will know that is a given! Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!
