Owl Mail

Hello friends, I have something quick to share with you today, a card I created from some of the gathering 'stash' on my desk....

I had started a tag sometime ago and never went anywhere with it, so I have decided to add it to a card base instead.  The owl has been cut out using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine and the Labels Fourteen Spellbinders™ Nestabilities®.  The image has been cut using the size 4 Die and layered onto card cut using the largest Die - size 5.

NOTE: Spellbinders Dies are numbered from the smallest to the biggest Die.

The layered image is then popped up on foam tape, on the Labels Eight Spellbinders™ Nestabilities®.   This is all adhered to the card base and K and Company patterned paper.

This card is for the following challenges:
 Totally Papercrafts – Monochromatic
Forever Friends - Die cuts and punches
Twisted Thursday - Card with a Tag
Crafting for all Seasons - No Stamps Allowed
Inky Impressions - Punches/dies
Natalie and Amy's ChallengeMonochromatic
 Totally Gorjuss - Embossing
QKR Stampede – Punches and/or Dies

Collages

It has been a busy few days on my Blog and today is Canberra's 100th birthday so I am trying to limit my computer time (LOL) I have a quick post today, sharing the cards I am teaching at my Card Design Class this week

I love the collage style card  and my first card is created using Penny Black Inc butterfly suite image and added a few extra touches.  The image has been cut out using the Spellbinders A2 Distressed Edges  Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Card Creator and the the Grand Calibur Machine.

The masculine card is created using a set of Hero Arts stamps that my DH got me a couple of years ago and have only just seen ink (shhhh)  I was inspired by a card on Pinterest and will come back and link it as soon as I find what board I pinned it too!  Both cards have Want2Scrap bling - I love the way bling can be used on masculine cards too - even if it is minimal!

These cards are for the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
Eclectic Ellapu - Birthdays (card two)
 Gingerloft - The Colour Green
 Glitter n Sparkle - St.Pat`s/Use Green
Great Impressions - Going Green
Stamptacular Sunday - To Die For
Catch The Bug - Theme, Green Thumb
Card Makin' Mamas - Green
Creative Corner - Go Green
Simply Create Too - St Patricks day or use mostly green

I told you this would be a quick post - we are going to make the most of a Public Holiday - but I do know there will be some crafting time a bit later - if you know me you will know that is a given! Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

SSIC Layers

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is hosted by the lovely Miesje - who has chosen :

"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?” Romans 8:31b-32

Miesje has challenged us to create a card or project that uses everything! The opposite of a CAS – toss on the embellishments and/or different papers, textures.

This challenge worked perfectly for me as I wanted to create a special Sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her husband and I wanted to fill it with all of the embellishments that she loves (and I do too) and have it overflowing with ambiance and love.

KandCompany paper, lace, pearls, Layers of Color Art Stamps, Spellbinders Paper Arts  Dies, Mulberry Roses, Seam Binding - all of those divine things we love to use.

Lots of details - anything but CAS and one of my favourite styles of cards !

This card is for the following challenges:
Fussy and Fancy - Anything but a Square/Rectangle
Hotshot Crafts Ribbon
Our Craft Lounge - Spring
Stampin' For The Weekend - Anything Goes
Crafty Purple FrogAnything goes
Create Me Pink - Tear it up and/or distressing

Shabby Elegant Love

I have been on a 'Shabby/Nostalgic' card run over ythe last few days and wanted to share a card with you

using the 'Sent With Love' stamp set designed by Nina Brackett for The Craft's Meow

and the Lovely Labels 18 set , that coordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen Die, along with the coordinating Nestabling - now I have to say at this stage, I am loving NESTABLING from Want2Scrap, I am a 'pearl girl' anyway so it is an instant hit with me!

I have stamped the image twice, cutting it out using a Spellbinders Standard Circles SML Die.  The butterfly on the second image has been cut out, coloured with SU Chalks/Pastels and the wings popped up with some foam tape, for that added dimension.  3D Kindy Glitz has been added to give a little but if shimmer.

The DP is from KandCompany, one of my favourite DP's of all time, I use it sparingly! LOL!  A border from the Spellbinders Ironworks Accents Die has been added to the lower edge.  All of the Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur - my favourite cutting machine!

This card is for the following challenges:

The image is from the Sweet Silhouettes clear art stamp set illustrated by Nina Brackett for Layers of Color

The sentiment, also from the Sweet Silhouettes set is embossed using Tsukineko Versamark and SU White Embossing Powder.

A more detailed announcement is coming soon...and I cannot wait!!
