Cacti - It's Your Day

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I have a whimsical card to share with you, again inspired from bits and pieces on my desk. It seems to happen to me a lot, but it is such a great feeling, using them up and creating something pretty from them - do you find that!?

I have used a frame that has been created using Kaisercraft patterned paper and the largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies, with the second largest die from the Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies secured on the inside using low tack tape.  Run through the Platinum Die Cutting MachineRemove the centre to be used on another project.

Adhere two strips of Little Birdie Crafts Succulent Garden Collection patterned paper evenly behind the frame, and dark patterned paper between each strip.  Pop up onto a slightly larger pre-cut green card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

Stamp the Little Birdie Crafts sentiment from the Clear Stamps - Birthday Expressions onto the dark patterned paper using Imagine VersaMark Ink, apply White Embossing Powder and set using a Heat Tool.

Moonlight Hugs

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I have a shabby/vintage card to share with you - once again I created it from bits and pieces gathering on my desk - they grow daily and therefore I need to 'cull' them and make cards -often my favourite cards in the long run.

I have cut a card front using Kaisercraft Pen and Ink Collection 6x6 and the largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Squares Etched Dies, using the Platinum Die Cutting MachineThis has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Crafty Tape.

Next I have glued a partial Die cut from the Shapeabilities Layered Happily Ever After Etched Dies Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken - Bride and Groom insert.  Next two flowers from Little Birdie Crafts have been glued to the lower portion of the insert and a computer generated adhered to the left side - overlapping the frame. Stenciled Art Journal Page

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a Stenciled Art Journal Page - it is the first time I have done anything like this - I got the beautiful stencil over 2 years ago when I am on the Australian Mixed Media Road Show - it is designed by Lorri Lennox - her work is very inspiring   I was always going to create with it....and finally I have ....

I started by using a black marker and drew the face outline, hair, featured etc.  Colouring it as interesting - I am building up to using all paint and started by colouring her face using Chameleon Art Pens, followed by the eyes, mouth and lips.  The hair was harder than I imagined but I got there eventually - I will master it on future ones - hopefully!

One of the Little Birdie Crafts Wendy Moon Light Flowers was glued to her fringe - it was my starting place for the rest of the background.  I sponged all white card stock using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks in Electric Yellow, Coral Pink and Blue, blending as I went using a Sponge Dauber.

Butterflies from the Spellbinders Sparrow Stamp and Die Set from the Earth Air Water Collection by Stephanie Low have been randomly stamped over the background using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and colour added with the Chameleon Pens One butterfly has been stamped onto white card stock, coloured and cut using the co-ordinating die, this has been popped up next to the flower.  Liquid Glitter has been added and extra details using a White Paint Pen.

The sentiment stickers are from Cosmo Cricket and the Ricrac from my stash.  The larger stencil is from my stash and has been singed using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal using a Sponge Dauber and edged using a White Paint Pen.  Lastly Washi Tape has also been added.

Crazy Birthday Cat

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I have a change of pace to share with you today - something a little more whimsical with a masculine feel - I love these Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats and could not resist the opportunity to use one - I have to add this is a very quick and easy card to create!

These images are perfect for masculine cards - any card really but they certainly make a great masculine card!

I have also created my own patterned papers using leftover prices of papers - you know those ones that you don't want to part with - I have so many of them....The patterned paper has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard using Adhesive Sheets 4 x6, cut/embossed using a Spellbinders Matting Die and lightly sanded.  Each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand. The card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The cat has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, coloured using Chameleon Pens and cut out using the co-ordinating die. The Party Hat and Balloons are from the Accessories set and have also been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, coloured using Chameleon Penand cut out using the co-ordinating die.  These have been popped up onto a small white textured panel using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L  3D Foam Squares.  The computer generated sentiment has been adhered across the balloon strings.
