In My Thoughts

Hello friends, thanks so much  for stopping by.  It is Friday evening here and the weekend has officially begun - do you have any plans - mine involve die cutting with a friend over coffee in preparation for an 'up and coming workshop'. In the meatime I have another quick share...

My card front has been created using papers from my stash, with two papers 10cm x7.5cm being joined across the centre - a great way to use those left  over pieces. I have cut/embossed the  card front using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

The sentiment is part of a free gift from a Publication and has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  It has been but using one of the Spellbinders Classic Labels and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. The die has been used as a Stencil, sponging inside the cutting edges of the die using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky.  This has been popped up onto a white Nestabilities Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies Venise Lace by Becca Feeken #3 and #4 using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3 D Foam Squares.

I have used Kaisercraft Collectiblesalong with Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, Want2Scrap Rhinestones have been added to either side of the beautiful rose.  I think this is another card where the the colours have been inspired by the change of seasons here in the Southern Hemisphere - autumn/fall is here and we are loving the cooler temps.

A Special Thank You

Hello friends, thanks so much  for stopping by.  I hope you are having a good week, it is going by so fast - are you finding that or is it just me getting older - you don't have to answer that one LOL! I have a quick share today - a thank you card - we can never have too many of those can we?!

My card front has been created using papers from my stash, with two papers 5cm x 15cm bring joined down the centre - a great way to use those left  over pieces. I have cut/embossed the  card front using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut yellow card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

I have used Kaisercraft Collectibles and Wooden Embellishment, along with Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, Want2Scrap bling and Glitter Washi Tape., added to that a little bit of  lace from my stash - very eclectic - but works in my opinion.  I think the colours have been inspired by the change of seasons here in the Southern Hemisphere - autumn/fall is here and we are loving the cooler temps.

Recycled Pastel Roses

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I have a recycled card to share with you today.  I have a friend who works in a Boutique and she saves me any novel boxes or anything she thinks I can use - she did well with this lots - there are about 2 dozen boxes and I have cut them all up ready to be reused and brought to life in  different way!

The box already had the beautiful embossed image with so many beautiful details and the gorgeous gold scalloped edge - I popped it up onto a shimmered card stock using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Crafty Foam Tape - this has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut pink card base.

I have added a computer generated sentiment underneath the scalloped edge, along with some recycled layers from artificial flowers with Want2Scrap Pearls added to the centre of each flower. A butterfly from my stash has been coloured and popped up onto the card front using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Small White 3D Foam Squares under the wings for some added dimension.

Extra details have been added to the wings using a White Gel Pen.  I t really did not need anything more - the beautiful dimension on the card front added so much, as you can see in the photo above.  Very easy but I am sure you will agree that the image is too pretty to discard,

This card has been liked to the following challenges:
