Spellbinders - Sunny Side up

Hello friends - thanks for stopping by!  I am back with another card using one of the adorably whimsical  Spellbinders Stamp and Die sets from the Love Set Match Collection by Licensed Designer Debi AdamsThis is the second card I have created using this set - you can see the first one HERE.

I have started by stamping the yolk onto yellow card stock, then die cut it along with the egg white, toast and bacon using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform.  Details have been added using Chameleon Pens and Imagine ink with a blending tool.
NOTE: If you use thick foam for the toast, it will give the appearance of toast. Sponge around the edges with brown ink. Also, use a white gel/paint pen to add details to the bacon.

The Notebook Border Stamp Set Happy Grams #4 Collection by Tammy Tutterow  has been stamped onto white card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  This has been fussy cut/hand cut out using scissors, randomly sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon's in Electric Yellow and popped up onto a pre-cut yellow card base. The sentiment has been stamped onto the lower portion of the card front using Tuxedo Black ink.  A few random splashes of yellow and white paint have also been added to the card front.

The utensils from the 'coming soon' Die D-Lites Weekend Grill Etched Dies have been cut using black card stock.  The bacon and egg have been layered onto the toast and then popped up onto the plate created using the Nestabilities Standard Circles SM Etched DiesThe layered Dies have been glued to the top portion of the card front.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Some People Feel the Rain

Hello friends - thanks so much for stopping by - it is always lovely to know that you have been.  Today I am sharing a piece I have created something  little out of the norm for me (or is it!?!)

I have used a stamped image I was given a long time ago and stamped a Close to My Heart Sentiment (borrowed from a friend) using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  I have sponged the background using Memento Inks in Desert Sand, Summer Sky and a light touch of Espresso Truffle. The sponged background has been splashed with stamp cleaner to get this effect - I usually use water, but am loving the depth of the 'spritz' using Stamp cleaner.

I am not sure if I am going to turn this into a card, journal or add it to a canvas - or even a layout  - but there is lots of time for that - what do you think?

Spellbinders Robots Happy Birthday

Good morning friends - thank you for dropping in - if this was IRL I would have a hot cuppa waiting for you!  It is our first few days of summer and it has been wet! wet! wt! Not that I am complaining - the grass is so green and we definitely need the top up before the heat hits us - and it will!!

But in the meantime I have a fun card to share with you using the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Robots Etched Dies.  I am thrilled with these dies - especially with a grandson to create cards and layouts for.  I have cut/embossed the Robots using grey card stock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform.  Once the Robot is removed I have lightly sanded it using a sanding block and highlighted the embossed areas - a favourite technique of mine!

The Shapeabilities Outlaw Etched Dies by Seth Apter has been cut/embossed using orange card stock.  This has been adhered to a card front and card base cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Thirty-Eight Etched Dies #7 (#1 being the smallest) The card front has been cut using light blue card stock using  Labels Thirty-Eight #6

The Robot has been popped up into the layered card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A computer generated sentiment has been adhered to the top of the Outlaw Die and paint splatters in yellow and white randomly added.

The card is linked to the following challenges:

Spellbinders Beee-utiful Bee

Hello friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend- they go by so quickly don't they?!.  Our Saturday was a busy and a happy one - our son had a birthday - which started with a family brunch at our favourite place, and was followed by birthday cake and coffee at home - and present opening of course.  A fabulous day but I was happy today was much quieter - I even managed a 'Nana nap!' LOL!

I love  to find different uses for the Spellbinders Dies - for this card I have used the Honey Bee Etched Dies - you can see my original tutorial using the Honey Bee HERE. It has been used as a stencil onto patterned paper by Authentique Paper, using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal.  The stenciling has been repeated three times down the strip of patterned paper.  A few yellow spots have been added using Imagine Memento Ink in Dandelion.

Markings have been added to the bees using a Gold Gel Pen. This strip has then been adhered to a card front that has been embossed using the Spellbinders Embossing Folders Tammy Tutterow Designs Picnic and cream card stock.  The raised brickwork has been sponged using Imagine Delicata Ink in Golden Glitz.  I have used Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Extreme Double-Sided Tape to adhere the layers.

Cut/emboss one Honeycomb using brushed gold card stock using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform, remove the extra pieces.  Tuck under the stenciled strip and secure using liquid glue.  The card front has been popped up onto a pre-cut teal card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.   Glue a few of the Honeycomb inserts/hexagons to the card front for extra embellishing.

This card has been linked to the following challenges:
