Listen Honey

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by!  I thought we deserved some humor - I love these Emerson Quillin ladies - I have a few of these stamps and every so often have to have my 'fix!'  Seems the older I get - the more I can relate!

The image has been stamped onto white card stock using Imagine Crafts Memento ink  in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Chameleon Pens - which made it do easy to get all of those tones in the dress in just a few seconds!  It has then been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.

The card base has been cut using the largest die from the Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and white card stock NOTE: make sure to leave the fold inside the cutting edge to form the card base. The patterned layer has been recycled from some packaging that was too pretty to discard.  It has been cut/embossed using the second largest die from the Curved Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Dies and popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.

A light blue card stock panel has been adhered to the left side of the card front using double sided tape. The image layer has been popped up onto the centre o the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares.  I coloured four Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L White Photo Corners have been coloured using a Chameleon Pen and then trimmed the lower backing off them and adhered inside the corners of the image layer.

A double pink seam binding bow has been glued onto the left side of the card front with a Little Birdie Crafts flower glued to the knot of the bow.

Life is Beautful

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a card that is a little on the 'shabby' side using one of my favourite colours and some of my favourite products.

I have started by cutting out the centre of Kaisercraft patterned paper using the second largest die from the Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies, followed by slightly smaller white card stock using the third largest Standard Circles LG. NOTE: make sure to line up the smaller die cut circle by lying the patterned paper on top of the white card stock and place the smaller Die with in - securing with repositional tape.  Remove the patterned paper and run the white card stock though the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.

Line up the white layer underneath the patterned paper with the white inner circle showing.Pop up both layers onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares to create an aperture.  Adhere the patterned circle inside the layered die cuts using double sided tape. Pop up the Anna Griffin Inc. sentiment embellishment in the centre of the aperture.

Cut/emboss one Border Frame and Insert from the Card Creator Framed Floral Card Front Celebrate the Day by Marisa Job Etched Dies using co-ordinating patterned paper, glue to the lower portion of the card front.

Fussy cut/hand cut using scissors a flower from the Authentique Paper and pop up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L Small White 3D Foam Squares.  Glue a hand made butterfly embellishment to the rim of the circle aperture and add Want2Scrap white pearls along the die cut trim.

Cut emboss two (2) banners from the Die D-Lites Amused 1 Etched Dies in co-ordinating patterned paper, glue across the top of the card front as shown in the main photo, adding Want2Scrap small white pearls between each pennant.

Postal - One of a Kind

Hello friends, thanks for stopping by.  My card today has been inspired by a package I received - it had numerous stamps on it and I instantly knew I had to use them on a card; funny isn't it the things that inspire us! I used 10 stamps for this card - and I might add I have a few put aside for me creating.

The stamps have been adhered in three rows of three onto blue card stock, followed by red.  Next cut/emboss two (2) Shapeabilities Vintage Stitched Squares Etched Dies Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. white card stock.  Score one Vintage Stitched Square at 1cm and fold forward.  Apply double sided tape to the folded portion, attach the second die cut, making sure to line up the edges to form the card base.

Layer one stamp onto slightly larger blue card stock and pop up into the centre of the stamps using 3D Foam Squares, making sure it is upside down - there is a little bit of symbolism with this.  The Kaisercraft sentiment has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk and cut out using the insert from the Amazing Paper Grace Vintage Elegance Becca Feeken Giving Occasions Stamp and Die Set.   The inside of the die has been sponged using one of my Sponge Daubers which is always 'fully loaded' with brown ink, before it is removed from the die; and popped up to the right of the image using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares

Watercoloured Garden Charmer

Hello friends, thank so much for stopping by.  I have had a little change of pace and done a little water colouring - using the Penny Black Inc. Garden Charmers transparent stamp set - how adorable is this bird!  I cannot go past a beautiful Penny Black image - or sentiment for that matter!

I have stamped the image onto white card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Melissa Francis Watercolours and Aqua Pen.  I have also added some stenciling using Memento Ink in Summer Blue and some sponging using Memento Ink in Dandelion and Bamboo Leaves.

The image has been cut/embossed using the fourth largest Die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies Next it has been popped up onto the largest cut/embossed Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Die and the Platinum 6 Die cutting and Embossing Machine and popped up onto onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

A yellow scalloped edge has been tucked in and glued under the image panels, this is from some scalloped card stock I had trimmed earlier, followed by blue/white twine wound around the lower portion on the card front and secured through a recycled button - this has been glued to hold it in place.

X-Treme Legend Layout

H friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  It has been a little while since I have shared a Layout - I have been busy making them but getting them photographed and written up is a whole 'nother show! But I am getting there one by one - I think we need more hours in the day - don't you?!

This layout has been created from random bits and pieces from my stash - some of them I have had so long I cannot remember who they are made by (ooops my bad!) Other things are fairly recent so those I can tell you about....and the other certainty is that the photos are of my darling grandson - Noah!  He is such a 'boy' and 'bikie' mad - these moments are fun to capture!

The cogs are chipboard from Little Birdie Crafts that have been sponged using Imagine Delicata Ink in Shimmery Silver.  The main sentiments have been cut from older patterned paper and inked around the edges using a Black Marker to make then stand out.  The adorable little Bike is a handmade embellishment by Little Birdie Crafts.

The photos have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Die and the Platinum 6 Die cutting and Embossing Machine. they have been lightly sanded using a sanding block and popped up onto the centre of the layout using  Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  I do love the effect on photos and use it a lot.

The trim around the photos are stickers from the Kaisercraft Misty Mountain Collection and has been trimmed into sections to fit around the photo.  The smaller sentiments are stickers from my stash and work so well on the photos - I love the way they look.  I have also added torn pieces of corrugated cardboard and patterned paper - how cool are those faux bricks!?
