Watercoloured Garden Charmer

Hello friends, thank so much for stopping by.  I have had a little change of pace and done a little water colouring - using the Penny Black Inc. Garden Charmers transparent stamp set - how adorable is this bird!  I cannot go past a beautiful Penny Black image - or sentiment for that matter!

I have stamped the image onto white card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Melissa Francis Watercolours and Aqua Pen.  I have also added some stenciling using Memento Ink in Summer Blue and some sponging using Memento Ink in Dandelion and Bamboo Leaves.

The image has been cut/embossed using the fourth largest Die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies Next it has been popped up onto the largest cut/embossed Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Die and the Platinum 6 Die cutting and Embossing Machine and popped up onto onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

A yellow scalloped edge has been tucked in and glued under the image panels, this is from some scalloped card stock I had trimmed earlier, followed by blue/white twine wound around the lower portion on the card front and secured through a recycled button - this has been glued to hold it in place.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

The letters have been stamped and heat embossed using Versamark, Gold Embossing Powder and a Heat Tool - I love the 'lushness' this has added to the letters. I have stamped the frames onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and have been coloured using Chameleon Art Pens. They have been fussy cut/ hand cut out and popped using 3D Foam Squares onto 4 matching Die cuts. The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the edges using Golden Glitz and a sponge dauber.

The layered embossed letters have been popped up onto a co-ordinating card base, that has also been sponged using Golden Glitz Ink and a sponge dauber, using 3D Foam Squares.

A sheer double bow has been adhered to the left side of the images and a mulberry paper flower has been adhered.  Finishing off with brown rhinestones on each corner of the framed letters.

Flourishes FridayFree for All Blog Hop - Monochromatic

Hello Flourishes friends, it is Linda here and I am excited to be hosting this weeks Friday 'Free for all' Blog Hop.  I have challenged the Snr, Designers to create monochromatic cards.  This is a effect I love and am looking forward to seeing the inspiration from the ladies this week.  But first...

I have stamped the Fuji Mums image by Beverley Cole using a Danube Blue Ink.  My colours were inspired by the birds in the photo - so pretty and reminds me a little of Wedgwood. I have used an Aqua Pen to 'drag' the colour across the image, adding a little more ink in some placed to give added depth.  this is such an easy technique and so effective.

The flower has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up onto Classic White cardstock that has been cut/embossed the Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die Set.  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging the inside edges using Light Blue ink and a Sponge Dauber.

This has been popped up on to blue cardstock - I have stamped the cardstock with one of the smaller images using Danube Blue Ink to continue the monochromatic look and have added some white highlights on the flowers to make them 'pop'.  white lace has been layered across the background paper and adhered using liquid glue.

The sentiment has been stamped using Danube Blue and cut/embossed using the tag from the Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die Set.  I have sponged inside the Die before removing it and popped it up using 3d Foam Squares.  A double seam binding bow has been added and a handmade butterfly adhered to the center of the bow.  This has also been sponged using Blue ink and some shimmer added.  I have finished off by adding some small white pearls to the butterfly and the corners of the background layer.

Be sure to visit the  designers' pages today, to see how they have tacked the challenge.

Linda Lucas - you are here
I am looking forward to seeing you at our next Friday, as a part of a weekly Flourishes LC Friday Hop - so much inspiration and you are going to LOVE what each Designer is sharing!
