Little Birdie Crafts Jar of Flowers

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by.  I have been making the most of being inside with the heat, although I must say we have enjoyed some rain and thunder storms in the evenings over the past week.  I have enjoyed playing around with some of the Little Birdie Crafts products and have to say they are a little bit addictive!!

The pre-embossed card stock from my stash has been adhered to a slightly larger card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-ZAdhesive Runner Ultra, and cut/embossed using the Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies .  The card front has been  cut/embossed using patterned paper using the largest two dies from the Nestabilities Hemstitch Ovals Etched Dies Chantilly Paper Lace Collection by Becca Feeken.   Narrow ribbon in both blue and orange have been wrapped around the layered card front and glued in the centre.

The Little Birdie Crafts Stamps- Flowerful Gratitude, has been stamped onto white card stock and coloured using Chameleon Pens.  Next the image has been cut/embossed using the third largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine; and then popped up onto the layered card front. 

 A double blue and orange bow has been glued onto the left side of the image.  A flower from the Little Birdie Crafts Handmade Flower Beaded Blooms- Pastel Palette, has been glued to the knot of the bow.

Little Birdie Crafts Birthday Wishes and Flowers

Hello friends welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Australia Day to all of my Australian friends - I hope you celebrated this amazing country in some form or other.  We had a quiet day because of the extreme temperatures but had a family dinner, which is always wonderful.  

I have been making the most of being inside and have enjoyed playing around with some of the Little Birdie Crafts products and have to say they are a little bit addictive!!

The patterned paper from my stash has been cut into squares and layered onto recycled cardboard; each of the squares has been paper pierced by hand. and cut/embossed using the Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies and lightly sanded.  The card front has been adhered to a pre-cut card base using Adhesive Sheets 4 x6.

The flowers from the Little Birdie Crafts Clear Stamps - Floral Greetings have been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, next they have been coloured using Chameleon Pens.  The flowers are fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up onto a panel that has been stenciled using the Little Birdie Crafts Stencil - Dots in brown and gold inks and cut/embossed using the third largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and popped up onto the card front using Scrapboook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The CHIPBOARD ON YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES has been coloured in an Ombre style using Chameleon Pens and coated using Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Shimmer.  A length of lace from my stash has been glued along the lower portion of the card front and small Lecreme pearls added along the Lacy pattern.

 I have finished off using a trimmed section of  Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse in Lecreme and adhering it coming out from the flower.

Hearts and Roses

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your visits and comments this year - it is so appreciated.  As much as Social Media is a big and effective way to share and connect, Blogs still have their place and I hope you will continue to follow me and be inspired next year.  I am working on new things and expanding my 'comfort zone' - the creative world is ever changing and we can either fight it or go with it - I am going with it and enjoying the journey!

I am sharing a card created using the beautiful Spellbinders Nestabilities Card Creator Botanical Bliss Stacey Caron Floral Trellis Etched Dies this has been die cut using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.  The exposed areas have been sponged using Imagine  Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves.  Next it has been glued to slightly larger green card stock. Narrow lace has been adhered to the top of the card front; followed by a double white seam binding bow to the centre of the lace.  A recycled button has been glued to the knot of the ribbon.

The Rose Heart stamp set has been coloured using Chameleon Pens and popped up onto the card front also using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam squares.   The sentiment has been trimmed and glued below the layered flower.  The layered card front has been popped up onto a pre-cut slightly larger white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam squares.

Layered Christmas Tree

Hello friends, thanks so much for dropping in.  It is so quiet here today and I am trying to make the most of it - but I have so much I want to achieve and not sure where to start - do you now that feeling - or is it just me!?  I am making this post my starting point and hopefully move forward from here LOL!  I have played around with the new Spellbinders Die D-Lites Christmas Tree Etched Dies 2018 Holiday - don't you love the added dimension of popping up the layers - there are so many options with this Die D-Lite.

I have started by cutting the card front using the second largest Die from the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Dies.  This has been popped up onto a slightly larger white pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A patterned layer has been cut/embossed using the fourth die from the Nestabilities Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies and popped up onto the centre of the card front, using 3D Foam Squares.  Gold Glitter Pen has been added to the debossed stitching pattern.

Next cut/emboss all of the Dies from the Christmas Tree using white card stock.  Glue the frame outline that has been created by laying the tree layers inside of the actual tree die - when this is run through the machine it leaves a thin outline frame to the Fancy Edged Rectangles Etched Dies layer.  This has been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and glued to the patterned paper layer.  Next the Christmas Tree Top, Middle and Bottom have been sponged in the same manner and popped up inside the tree using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares. 

Sponge the trunk using brown ink and glue below the Christmas Tree. Colour the Star gold and pop up at the top of the Christmas Tree using a 3D Foam Square. Adhere a ton piece of patterned paper across the card front,and below the image layer.  Wrap red twine around the card front and tie through a wooden flower, securing with a bow - add a little glue under the wooden flower.  Add faux enamel dots using Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Dandelion and a sentiment using Alpha Stickers.

Own Kind of Beautiful Layout

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I am sharing a layout with you - using some Kaisercraft papers that I have held onto for some time - but decided they need to 'see the light of day', along with this photo of my eldest daughter.

I have taken part in a Blind Scrap as part of a group I am in - it was so much fun and each layout created was so different but just stunning - I would definitely do this again!

Our first instruction was to start with a neutral piece of card stock, to ink or paint around the edges and to add a hand drawn border about an inch in.  I am not usually one who draws on their layouts but I did enjoy this, I used a Chameleon Pen and added Imagine irRESISTIbles Pico Embellisher in Tudexo Black randomly around the edges - I love the effect and will definitely be doing that again. I also added a lightly sponged border  by rubbing my 'fully loaded' sponge daubers around the edge - subtle but definitely there!  The white edging has been created using a White Paint Pen.

 My papers are from a much older Kaisercraft Collection - Kaleidoscope - and the stickers sentiments are from that set as well.  The photo has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto the layout using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares for dimension -but not too much. All other layers have been adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner - Ultra. The layered flowers are from Little Birdie Crafts amazing selection, along with some Primed Chipboard - Tropical Foliage that has been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and glued to each side of the flower clusters.  The flowers to the right of the photo have been glued onto a Little Birdie Crafts Tag from the Burlap Tassel Tags . A few handmade butterflies and flowers have been glued onto the layout - I made these using moulds and Paper Clay.

Bricks and Roses

Hello friends - thanks so much for stopping by. I have a card to share today that has been created using one of the Spellbinders Stamp and Die sets - I love these, although I don't mind fussy cutting, being able to Die cut the image is so quick and easy - and exact - and you have to love that! 

The  Feather Stamp and Die Set from the Earth Air Water Collection by Stephanie Low has been stamped onto white card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Chameleon Art Pens.  It has then been cut/embossed using the co-ordinating Die and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform.

The card front has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Dies. I have used the Want2Scrap Brick Stencil and Imagine Fireworks Spray in Danube Blue and Rhubarb Stalk.   I have secured the Stencil using repostional tape to make sure it does not move while spraying.  Once the stencil has been removed, lightly splatter white paint onto the brisks.

The Flowers have been popped up onto the card front using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. The card front is then popped up onto a pre-cut blue card base also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A computer generated sentiment has been adhered across the top portion of the card.  Want2Scrap Baby Bling - Black Rhinestones are an optional embellishment - randomly placing them on the brickwork.
