Your Smile

Hello friends,  welcome and thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  After a very cold start this morning we have a beautiful sunny afternoon happening - my DH and son have been busy working in the garden - extending Chicken Coops and trimming trees, along with building compost bins - and I have to say it is looking great - me...I have been inside getting some things done and now it is time to share a card...

I do love this inspirational sentiment - from Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company.  It has been adhered to teal card stock and some lace from my stash added below the sentiment.  This has been popped up onto a pre-cut card front that has been cut/embossed using  Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut A-Frame white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

Little Birdie Crafts flowers have been glued along the top of the sentiment panel and some die cut leaves from my stash added. I have finished off by adding some faux stitching around the Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies.

This card is added to the following challenges:

Let's Party - Juvinile Card

Hello friends, thanks so much  for stopping by.  We are enjoying a wet Friday, the rain is so refreshing and much needed, although I know some of you are looking forward to seeing spring and summer! While I have been busy in The Studio creating a number of different projects, in between Design Team Projects and Publications I have another card to share using some of the bit and pieces that endlessly gather on my desk, along with some Collectibles that are given to me by a very generous friend.   Are you ready?!

My card front has been created using paper from my stash that has been embossed using a Spellbinders Overlapping  Circles Embossing Folder and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine; next it has been adhered to a slightly larger pre-cut A-Frame blue card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

I have played with Kaisercraft Collectibles until I am happy with how they look, a little tip - I often photograph the card front incase I forget exactly how it was and need to check the photo for reference - it can save a lot of angst.  They have been popped up with Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The banner is from Spellbinders Die D-Lites Amused 1 Etched Dies
.and balloons are from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Ella-Fant Etched Dies.  Want2Scrap Glitter Washi Tape has been added.  Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress has been used to add faux Enamel Dots to the embossed pattern.

Again this is another card where the the colours have been inspired by the change of seasons here in the Southern Hemisphere - autumn/fall is here and we are loving the cooler temps. Are you inspired by seasons or nature?

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Spellbinders Flora and Fauna Cut and Emboss Folder

Hello friends, thanks so much for dropping in.   I am back playing with one of the new Spellbinders Cut and Emboss FoldersIt is no secret I am a big fan of these folders and I have to say I am loving these new ones and I know you will too. This one called Flora & Fauna Cut and Emboss Folder.

'Flora & Fauna Cut and Emboss Folder is an embossing folder with etched dies embedded inside to cut and emboss in one pass. Everything is done for you! Fits a 5 x 7-inch card front.' - Spellbinders

Cut/emboss the Flora & Fauna Cut and Emboss Folder using white card stock and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6".

Sponge the embossed pattern using Imagine Radiant Neon inks in Electric yellow, Electric Blue, Electric Pink and Electric Orange, along with Memento Inks in Bamboo Leaves using Sponge Daubers.  The card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut white card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

I had a little 'opportunity for embellishment' while colouring the flowers - got a little carried away LOL so decided to adhere a 1cm strip of  blue patterned paper across the centre of the card front using double sided tape.

A pre-cut butterfly with co-ordinating bling has been glued at the body and added to the right side of the blue strip and a flower from  Little Birdie Crafts has been glued to the body of the butterfly.  A small piece of  Washi Tape has been added peeking out from under the top of the left wing.

Spellbinders Coffee Time Tutorial

Hello friends - welcome and thanks so much for visiting.  Today I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders using Dies from the  a number of dies, showing how easily they all work together.

I have used the Dies for Die Cutting and also for embossing only - did you know you could do that?  I love that Spellbinders dies are so versatile - as you will see as you follow along.

1.Cut/emboss all of the dies from the Coffee Time Etched Dies using white card stock and the Platinum Machine.
2. Use the Die as a Stencil and sponge the inside edges using Dessert Sand Ink and a Sponge Dauber.
3.Glue the lid to the cup at the top edge of the cup.

4. Use the Die as a Stencil and sponge the band using Summer Sky Ink and a Sponge Dauber.
5.Glue the band across the centre of the cup.
6. Use the Die as a Stencil and sponge the inside edges of the Heart using Rhubarb Stalk Ink and a Sponge Dauber.
7. Pop up the Heart onto the centre of the band using a 3D Foam Square.

8. Cut/emboss the largest Die from the Fancy Edged Circles using blue patterned paper.
9. Turn over the die-cut and place the second and third largest Fancy Edges Dies face down onto the back of the circle and emboss only.
NOTE:  Placing the cutting edges of the dies onto patterned paper and and then onto the tan mat will emboss only.
10. Adhere the do-nut onto the Fancy Edges Circle using liquid glue.
11. Pop up the coffee cup lightly overlapping the do-nut using 3D Foam Squares.

  • 11. Cut/emboss one Banner using white card stock.  Use the die as a stencil and sponge inside the cutting edges using brown ink.
  • 12. Adhere underneath the Coffee Cup using Double sided tape.
  • 13. Pop up the layered Fancy Edged Circle onto a card front that has been cut/embossed using the largest die from the Scored and Pierced Rectangles.
  • 14.  Pop up the card front onto a slightly larger pre-cut Kraft card case.

  • 15. Layer a computer generated sentiment onto slightly larger black card stock and adhere to the centre of the banner.
    16. Trim a Swirls Finesse and adhere to the top of the coffee cup.
    17. Adhere a torn strip of corrugated card stock below the Fancy Edged Circle.

Hello friends, thanks so much  for stopping by.  It is Friday evening here and the weekend has officially begun - do you have any plans - mine involve die cutting with a friend over coffee in preparation for an 'up and coming workshop'. In the meatime I have another quick share...

My card front has been created using papers from my stash, with two papers 10cm x7.5cm being joined across the centre - a great way to use those left  over pieces. The sentiment is part of a free gift from a Publication and has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  It has been but using one of the Spellbinders Classic Labels and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. The die has been used as a Stencil, sponging inside the cutting edges of the die using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky.  This has been popped up onto a white Nestabilities Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies Venise Lace by Becca Feeken #3 and #4 using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3 D Foam Squares.

I have used Kaisercraft Collectiblesalong with Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, Want2Scrap Rhinestones have been added to either side of the beautiful rose.  I think this is another card where the the colours have been inspired by the change of seasons here in the Southern Hemisphere - autumn/fall is here and we are loving the cooler temps.
