Welcome to the Spellbinders Explore Beyond:
Sneak Peek and Giveaway! I am excited to be part of this fun event and
can't wait to share my project with you using the new dies. I know we say this
with each new release, but you are going to ADORE all of this new release, your
Wish List is going to be HUGE! I can assure you!!
- Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine
- S5-179 Cut, Fold and Tuck Pinwheel Delight
- S5-181 A2 Bracket Borders One
Cross Promotional Partners
Other: Dauber, Scissors, recycled button, repositional tape
There is a bit of cutting to be done for this filigree
card, but the Spellbinders Grand Calibur®Machine makes short work of that.
Start by cutting and embossing one (1) each of size one and two Cut Fold Tuck Pin Wheel Delights in purple cardstock. Secure them using repositional tape, to ensure the dies do not
move and give an even cut, as seen in the photo below. At the same time using
white cardstock, cut and emboss three (3) of the following border combinations
- one (1) edge die and two (2) patterned inserts. Place together using the repositional tape, so they don't move while
being run through the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.
NOTE: To make it easier to remove the card from the Dies, you should add a layer of wax paper on top of the card, wax side up into the Die. This allows your die cut to be more easily removed from the more intricately detailed dies.
Repeat with the smaller Cut, Fold and Tuck Pin Wheel Delight Medallion, then layer it onto the larger one, using a foam dot for dimension. Add a Want2Scrap 72 Count Self Adhesive Le Creme Pearl to the centre.
Trim the A2
Bracket Borders One to length,
noting the notches on each side of the Die that act as a guide for different
card sizes - this is one of the special features of these Dies. Leave a strip
of 1cm at the top of each pattered border, to allow for attaching the next
layer. Using the Beacon Adhesives - Zip Dry Paper Glue, layer the pieces together.
You can see the layers clearly in the photos
below. Adhere the Die cut layer to your card base, that has been precut using a A2 Bracket Borders edge.
Attach the layered flower onto the leaves from
the Foliage Shapeabilities® Die, using strong double sided tape
The
possibilities are endless with the Cut,
Fold and Tuck Pin Wheel Delight and A2 Bracket Borders One, each can be used alone or paired with any of the
other Spellbinders Dies. The A2 Bracket Borders One also have
the versatility of being able to be used to create a border (as shown in the
card below) or even to create a die cut background as you have seen in my
tutorial.
