The Little Mermaid

Hello friends, I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday, whether it be just beginning or coming to and end - like  mine.  Daylight Savings starts here in the early hours of the morning - my DH always puts our clocks forward after dinner - firstly to make sure they are done and secondly so we don't end up staying up too late so we lose an hours sleep.

I am sharing a whimsical card with you today and have finally gotten on the Mermaid 'band wagon' wink:wink.  I have used the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Die D-Lites Build-a-Mermaid Etched Dies  - they are so cute and make it so easy to create may different looks with your mermaid.

I have also used the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Rise 'n Shine Etched Dies My Little Red Wagon by Debi Adams for the clouds and layers of blue and white card stock to create the waves - so very simple but also effective .

The Mermaids face has been coloured using Chameleon Pens I have to admit I am a little 'taken' with the - Tiny Sentiments Stamp from the Happy Grams #3 by Tammy Tutterow and have stamped it using  Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the heart using a red glitter pen.

Kindy Glitz/Liquid glitter has been added to the mermaids tail and the waves to add a little shimmer.  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner. has been used on this card.

Watercoloured Poppies

Hello friends, today's card is a little different for me - water colouring - such a lovely technique and it has been some time since I have done any, so I have started with something simple.

I have stamped the Penny Black Charming cling stamp onto watercolour paper using black ink. I have spritzed the water colour paper using a shimmer spray before stamping - I could have used water, but thought the shimmer would add an interesting touch.

The image has been coloured using Watercolor Paint 36 Colors by Melissa Francis - available at Want2Scrap; along with the Water Brush Set - 3 PackThey are so easy to use and layering colour could not be easier!  You can check out the links - to have a proper look - you won't be disappointed.

The paint splatters are also done using the Watercolor Paint 36 Colors by Melissa Francis and the aqua pen. The image has been layered onto black card stock using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Permanent Adhesive Runner and onto a  The card front and card base have been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders  A-2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.    Finishing off by randomly adding Want2Scrap Black Rhinestones - Baby Bling - 100 Count.

Spellbinders Stronger Than Tutorial

Hello friends, it is time to share another tutorial for Spellbinders, using some of their fabulous Die and also a stamp set from the Bible Journaling sets by Licensed Designer Joanne Fink.

Not only can they be used for Bible Journaling, or journaling, they are also great for cards -  - if you haven't checked them out already - you can see them HERE.

1. Stamp the sign image using Tuxedo Black Ink.
2. Stamp the sentiments inside the sign using Rhubarb Stalk ink.
3. Colour the image using Chameleon Art Pens.
4. Cut/emboss the image using the Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies #5 #6 (#1 being the smallest)
5. Use the Die as a Stencil sponging the inside using Summer Sky ink.

6. Using the cutting frame of the Card Creator Emmeline Treillage Etched Dies Venise Lace, cut two using green/white striped card stock.
7. Fold the top 1.5cm of one Emmeline Treillage forward
8. Add adhesive to the folded forward section and layer the second Emmeline Treillage onto the first to form card base - making sure to line up the patterned edges.

9. Cut/emboss one cloud from the Rise 'n Shine Etched Dies using white card stock.
10. Lightly sponge around the edges using grey ink.
11. Cut the cloud an half, adhering each portion to the edges of the card front.
12. Pop the card front up onto the card base using 3D Foam Squares.
13. Add 'faux' Enamel Dots using the Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress - allow to dry.

Poinettia Christmas

Hello friends, it is a Public Holiday here - apparently not all of Australia but definitely the Nations Capital - Canberra for those of you who don't know!!  I am continuing on with the run of creating Christmas Cards - and being conscious of  how many Christmas Cards need to be posted and therefore the bulk needs to be kept to a minimum - a challenge for those of us who like layer upon layer!

I have stamped the image from the Spellbinders Nativity Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set  repeatedly onto white card stock using Imagine Memento ink in Memento Black.  The background has then been sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk, using a Sponge Dauber to blend the inks together.

Next stamp cleaner has been spritzed onto the inked card front - don't you love the effect that it has - gently dab with  tissue to remove excess.  The Poinsettia's have then been coloured using Chameleon Pens.

The sentiment from the Nativity Holiday 2017 by Stephanie Low Stamp & Die Set has been stamped using Tuxedo Black Ink, trimmed, a dove tail added and adhered to the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner.    The card front has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies Venise Lace by Becca Feeken and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine.  This has been popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Foam Tape.

You are my Sunshine

Hello friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend, it has been lovely here with the warmer weather and a BBQ with some of the family!!  I am also relieved to say that after a month with the flu I am starting to feel human again - you have to love that...and there is always time for 'just one card' wink:wink!!

For my card font I have embossed pink card stock created using the Framed Labels Eighteen Spellbinders® 3D M-Bossabilities™ folder and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6".

The Fiskars image is stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal and has been cut out by hand - fussy cut as some would say.  The image has then been popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares; foam tape onto the the Nestabilities Oval Bliss Etched Dies using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6".

The Penny Black Inc. sentiment has also been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal, layered onto a slightly larger white layered and popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L 3D Foam Squares. Want2Scrap bling has been added to each end of the layered sentiment and lace adhered under the sentiment using Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L EZ Permanent Adhesive.
