Happiness Is...

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  I have a little change of pace today -a whimsical card inspired by this adorable owl that has been recycled from a old greeting card - how cute is it - and those eyelashes - gorgeous!

The patterned paper is from Kaisercraft, it was 'lurking' in my stash and I am so glad it has seen the light of day!  It has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine and adhered to a slightly larger Kraft card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.E

The centre panel is from Authentique Paper and adhered to the centre of the card front also using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra The Owl has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The partial pink die cut frame is from an older die by Seth Apter - and still a favourite with me.  The beautiful cluster of flowers is from Little Birdie Crafts and has been glued to the top right hand corner.  Nice and Easy to make, but adorable all the same - in my opinion anyway! Wink:wink! The Owl has been poppee

Adorable Vintage Snowmen

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by. For those of you who have been wondering where I have been - it has been a challenging time in the lead up to Christmas - more than usual.  My brother had a massive cardiac arrest and only survived thanks to a Specialist being on hand in the ER - he had a stent and a pacemaker fitted and just when we started to relax - only a couple of days later he had another - thankfully they feel they have dealt with the problem and he is going well at this time...so....that was a little stressing not to mention distracting.  There has also been a very tragic loss in our extended family - heartbreaking!  Our adorable Grandson has been staying on a regular basis and I love that but it does mean time in the Studio is very limited - if at all...I am blessed to be able to be so 'present' in his little life -so am not complaining - but seriously -roll on 2020!!

In the meantime I have managed to create something - a gorgeous vintage Snowman - Sallianne McClelland shared these with us at a 'It's Almost Christmas Getaway' which I was privileged enough to teach at as well.  You can click on the above link and see some photos.  The original designer of these adorable Snowmen is Sue Pelletier . I can take no credit in any way for designing these - I was inspired by her beautiful work and added my own touches.

I have used a recycled Jam jar, recycled Sari Ribbon, vintage buttons and lots of embellishments from my stash!!

The Owl on the branch is made with Air Dry Clay and has been coloured using Chameleon Pens I added two owls as I created this for a gift and our friend whooooo loves owls!! LOL!  The sentiment is from an older Kaisrcraft Christmas Collection - although it is a sticker I glued it onto the jar - sure to make sure it doesn't go anywhere!

I may be a little addicted to these Snowmen - but can you blame me!! The three in the photo take pride of place in our Christmas cupboard - the two in the left were made by me and the one of the right was gifted to me  by Sallianne after the Workshop!

These snowmen are linked to the following challenges:

Layered Butterflies

Hello friends - welcome and thank you for stopping by! I have a simple and pretty card t share with you today using patterned papers from a publication and I have to say it was so-o-o quick and easy to put together!

For the purple card the Layered Butterflies have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Dies and the body glued, and the wings popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A  narrow strip of pattered paper has been adhered to the left side of the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner. Next the layered card front has been adhered to a slightly larger white card front that has had the corners rounded.  The computer generated sentiment has been adhered across the lower portion of each butterfly.

For the yellow card the card front has been cut/embossed using an older Spellbinders Etched Die.  The Layered Butterflies have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Dies and the body glued, and the wings popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares onto the centre of the  card front. The embossed pattern around the frame has bee sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Dandelion. Next the layered card front has been adhered to a slightly larger white card front that has had the corners rounded.  The computer generated sentiment has been adhered across the lower portion of the card front.  Pink sequins have been randomly added to the card front.

As you can see - there is lots of dimension but it is still not too bulky for posting - and that is something we need to keep in mind these days.

Happy Birthday Mandala

Hello friends, welcome and thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Sunday - it is a lazy-ish one for me - well as lazy as it can be with the 4 year old Grandson having sleepovers!! LOL!  Needless to say - we all sleep well at night! Wink:wink!!

Today I m sharing a card with you that was created using one piece of Kraft paper with a gold Mandala on it - I wanted to highlight the Mandala and sponged it using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal, followed by Dandelion and Tangelo inks around the outside of  the Mandala.  I have inked  all of the edges using Teal Zeal Ink as well.  The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Stamp and Co-ordinating Die set.  White and Blue Paint pens have been used around the Mandala and Want2Scrap bling added to the centre.

The completed card front has been popped up onto a slightly larger card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 6" x 4" Adhesive Foam Sheets - it gives dimension but not as much as 3D Foam squares.

A Sweet Wish

Hello friends - welcome and thank you for stopping by!   I am working on some projects that I cannot share yet - not for a while infact, but I had to stop by and share a card with you.  I was given these gorgeous images and papers from a friend - they are from a publication and I have to say it was so-o-o quick and easy to put together - simply elegant!

The main image has been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles SM Etched Dies and popped up onto cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles SM Etched Dies pre-die cut in gold; along with a scalloped circle that has a faint floral patterned on it, using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Next the layered card front has been adhered to a slightly larger white card front that has had the corners rounded.

The sentiment is from a Penny Black Inc clear stamp set and has been embossed onto black card using Imagine VersaMark Ink and White Embossing Powder and then adhered across the base of the image layer. popped up below the image.  A smaller image has also been popped onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, slightly overlapping the sentiment.

As you can see - there is lots of dimension but it is still not too bulky for posting - and that is something we need to keep in mind these days.

Especially for You

Hello friends - welcome and thank you for stopping by!  Happy Monday to you all, I know a lot of people dread them...but I hope this Monday is a gentle one for you!  I was given these gorgeous images and papers from a friend - they are from a publication and I have to say it was so-o-o quick and easy to put together - I even made a co-ordinating envelope for this one!

The main image has been popped up onto pink and white striped patterned paper, inside one of the borders that was framing the floral image and onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares, followed by the pre-cut green card base using E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

A border strip from the set has been trimmed and glued across the lower portion of the floral image, with a sentiment popped up onto a scalloped oval tag using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares and adhered across the border strip.  As you can see - there is lots of dimension but it is still not too bulky for posting - and that is something we need to keep in mind these days.  Finishing off with a large white pearl from Want2Scrap being adhered to each corner.

Z-Fold Dog-Gone Birthday

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by.  I have had a couple of days off the computer, simply because life got busy and that happens doesn't it!!  Nothing bad - just busy, even some creative stuff happening!  I have been having a lot of fun creating a Z-Fold card and bringing out stamps I have been wanting to use for so-o-o long - who doesn't love these Crazy Dogs by Stampers Anonymous.

I have also used Kaisercraft patterned papers, Spellbinders Dies and Chameleon Pens.

My white card base measures 28cm x 10cm and the second piece measures 28cm x 5cm. Score the card base at 7cm and 14cm.  Make a mountain fold on the first score line and a valley fold on the second score line so that you have a basic Z-Fold card.   Repeat the scoring and folding on the smaller piece of card stock.

Turn the smaller piece of card stock over so that the long section is on the left hand side the folded sections are on the right hand side. Adhere Kaisercraft patterned paper to each portion of the card base and the smaller strip using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra - cut slightly smaller to allow a white border around each piece.
NOTE: Make sure you have the two sections facing the right way before adding patterned papers and embellishments.

Attach the smaller piece to the large piece. Apply Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra to the left half only of the long section. and secure it to the left hand side of the larger piece of card stock. I placed mine about  1cm from the base, but  it can be higher if you like.  Secure the right side between the last score line and the right hand edge also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

Now to decorate - I have stamped the images using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, coloured using Chameleon Pens.  Each of the gorgeous dogs have been fussy cut/hand cut out using scissors and popped up onto the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L  3D Foam Squares.

The happy birthday sentiment has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Happy Birthday w/Numbers Etched Dies Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job.  The Banners cut/embossed using the Die D-Lites Amused 1 Etched Dies and the Balloons from a Die D-Lie Etched Die.  All of the images and decorations are visible when the card is open.
