Spellbinders Flower Bouquet - With Love

Hello friends, a very warm and heartfelt  thank you for all of the visits and comments, both here and on facebook - each one is appreciated.  I am hoping you are inspired by what you see - there are so many products just waiting to be used and only so many hours to do it - I am sure you know what I am saying!

This beautiful image is from the Spellbinders Stamps and Dies Donna Salazar Designs Flower Bouquet and has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Chameleon Pens - it is so easy to get different tones with these self toning blending pens. Nest it has been cut/embossed using the co-ordinating die and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6".

The patterned paper has been embossed using the Em-bossing Fold'ers Flowers & Leaves and popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares onto a pre-cut card base.  A computer generated sentiment has been added.

Spellbinders Hydrangeas

Hello friends - I had a busy day in The Studio yesterday, sorting out my patterned paper storage - it was fine how it was but... someone gave my DH a cupboard that as built to hold 12 x 12 patterned papers - so that it what it is doing - and as you know, one thing leads to another,  It took a lot longer than first thought - but it is perfect for the job...yes there will be photos...I am nearly ready to take some - it is about time they were updated.

Onto my card.  I showed the ladies at my last Workshop how to emboss with Dies, which is so easy - but very effective.  I also told them I would make a card using the embossed piece. I have used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval Ironwork Etched Dies #3 (#1 being the smallest).  The sandwich I used for the Platinum 6 was Standard Platform, die facing upwards, card stock, embossing mat followed by the embossing plate.

May Arts Ribbon has been adhered around the centre of the embossed layer, secured using liquid glue.

I have stamped the Hydrangea from the Bunny Stamp and Die Set from the Spring Love Collection by Stephanie Low using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Back Ink and it has been coloured using Chameleon Pens.  The hydrangea has been cut out using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform and the co-ordinating die.  It is then popped up onto white card stock that has been cut/embossed using the Pierced Ovals #5 #6 Dies (#1being the smallest); using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The layers have been popped up into the centre of the Oval Ironwork, also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares and onto a precut card base.

A double seam binding bow has been adhered to the left of the Pierced Ovals using liquid glue.  A lace flower and vintage button have been adhered to the bow centre.

So Beautifully Framed

Hello friends - I have created a card to share today using some of the Die cuts and images that gather on my desk (referred to as UFOs - Un-Finished Objects) - some of them are favourites, retired but will always have a place in my Studio!

I have used a retired images from Layers of Color - my first Design Team - the images are by the very talented and so lovely Laura Kirste Campbell.  I have always loved these stamps and find the whole range so inspiring - it was an amazing time for me.  Laura is a wonderful mentor and friend.

I have handmade the flower using Spellbinders Scalloped Circles LG and Standard Circles SML - a lot of layering and scrunching - but I am happy with the way it turned out.  I used to do all of my flowers like this - but now I have many amazing flower Dies, but it is good to return to basics sometimes.  The flower has been glued to the centre of the stamped image.

The image has been stamped using Imagine Menento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured using Chameleon Pens and after being Die Cut has been adhered to  pre-cut Die - one I was sent I believe.  A strip of lace has been adhered to the card front and precut card base using the Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies.  The layered image has been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The Want2Scrap Lecreme Pearls have been coloured using Chameleon Pens and adhered as shown in the main photo - along with the silver embellishment.

Fiesty and Fabulous in Pink

Hello friends - I hope you are all well and keeping out of trouble! Wink:wink!  I have a card to share today using a Spellbinders image designed by the UBER talented Licensed Designer Stacey Caron - I am a HUGE fan of her work - always have been and am honored have been referred to as 'one of Stacey's girls!' - I feel very blessed with all that I am experiencing on my creative journey.

But enough about me and onto the card... the image is called Fab Girl Rouge Royale by Stacey Caron Stamps.  Fab Girl has been coloured using Chameleon Pens and fussy cut/ hand cut using scissors.

This has been popped up onto the Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Accents Victorian Garden Decorative Curved Square Etched Die.  This has been layered onto a card front that has been embossed using the Texture Plates Art Deco Arched Arrows using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6".

The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Feisty and Fabulous Rouge Royale by Stacey Caron Stamps and has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  It has then been cot/embossed using Nestabilities Art Deco Astoria Labels Etched Dies.  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging around the inside edges using Imagine Memento Ink in Angel Pink.  This has been popped up onto the card front using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  Want2Scrap bling has been added, along with sheer bow and a Mulberry Paper Rose.

A Little Mixed Media - Heart Bezel

Hello friends - Monday here for me, Monday evening infact and it has been a productive day.  It is always a great feeling to get some projects finished and photographed - getting them blogged is a whole 'nother show!! LOL!!

I have used the  largest Bezel in the Spellbinders Media Mixage Hearts One - Bronze and the co-ordinating Die, which I believe may have been discontinued.  I have used some recycled Mixed Media paper, stamping some eclectic images onto it and then coating on both sides using Imagine Creative Medium to seal the paper so liquid does not change it.

I have added some embellishments - they are adhered by drizzling a little Ice Resin into the bezel and layering the embellishment onto it.  Once I was definite I poured in some Ice Resin - I love how it is self doming and dries like jewellers glass - perfect.

Some reasonably chunky glitter has been sprinkled onto the Ice Resin - it is heavy enough to sink slightly and has a great effect.  I am still deciding exactly what I am going to do with it - the options are many - maybe a necklace, on a canvas, bookmark.....to name a few!

This project is lined to the following challenged:
Artistic Inspirations -  ANYTHING GOES + ANYTHING GOES
Incy Wincy Designs - 1 PAPER LAYER ONLY
heARTful Stamping Challenge - Anything Goes + Stamp

Spellbinders Honey Bee Tutorial

Hello friends, I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders today using the Die D-Lites Honey Bee Etched Dies.  The Die D-Lites have been described as 'Big creativity in a small size. These Die D-Lites™ are perfect for cards, tags and Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) because of their smaller size and its versatility matched by our other die templates!'

This could not be truer as you will see with my card.  I have combined the Honey Bee set with the

Oval Ironwork Etched Dies and the

Chicken Wire Em-bossing Folder - they all work beautifully together as you will see as you follow along with the Tutorial.

1. Cut/emboss one bee using white card stock.
2. Cut/emboss one Honeycomb using brushed gold card stock, remove the extra pieces.
3. Colour the Die cut Bee using Chameleon Pens.
4. Cut/emboss one Honeycomb in the centre of a small white tag.

5. Remove the Honeycomb Die cut from the centre of the tag.
6. Add the brushed gold Honeycomb Die Cut, secure using small pieces of tape to adhere the Honeycomb edges to the tag.
7. Adhere three of the popped out pieces from the Honeycomb to the lower left corner of the tag using liquid glue.
8. Adhere the Bee using glue on the body and 3D Foam Squares on the wings for added dimension.

9. Emboss white card stock using the Chicken Wire Em-bossing Folder.
10. Lightly sponge using Golden Glitz Ink and Tool N One and Sponge Circle
11. Distress around the edges using scissors.
12. Adhere to a slightly larger pre-cut card base.

13. Cut/emboss one Oval Ironwork#1 #2 #3 (#1 being the smallest) - placing the frames inside each other and using recycled cardboard to create the frame.
14. Adhere the frame to the embossed card front using liquid glue.
15. Adhere the tag to the lower left hand, on an angle using 3D Foam Squares.
16. Add four hexagons to the card front using double sided tape.
17. Adhere the Beehive to the lower portion of the tag using double sided tape and 3D Foam Squares.
18. Pop up the sentiment using 3D Foam Squares.
