In Sympathy

Hello everyone, I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders using one of the Card Creator Dies Inspired by Licensed Designer Stacey Caron.  It is no secret I am a BIG fan of Stacey and her work - her designs have enable us to create elegant cards with so much detail in the easiest way.

Cut/emboss one (1) Renaissance Acanthus Leaves #1 #2 (#1 being the smallest) using white card stock.  Use Tool 'n One to remove excess pieces.  Colour the flowers using Chameleon Pens. Sponge the leaves and stems using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo leaves.

Adhere to a slightly larger yellow pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Runner. Adhere yellow braid on lower portion of the card using liquid glue.  Adhere a flower to the left hand end of the braid, along with a computer generated sentiment.

It really is this easy to make a pretty, detailed card - I hope you are inspired to get out your Dies and create your own 'works of the heart!'

This Makes Me Smile Layout

Hello friends, it is the weekend - woohoo!  Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you are inspired by your visit! I have been working on a lot of things, but am unable to show them at this time - Design Team projects and Commissions - but all in good time!  I do have a layout to share with you - I have decided that as the 'Memory Keeper' of the family I need to document some of my own memories - and this is definitely a favourite...one of the Retreats I was so blessed to attend with Spellbinders...

I have used the paper and stickers from  Kaisercraft Kaleidascope Collection (an older Collection) - such pretty colours - makes me smile just looking at it.

The photos are some of my favourite moments and have been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Fancy Edged Squares Etched Dies and sanded around the embossed edges using a Sanding Block - my favourite way of distressing.  The photo on the  bottom left is a Class that Stacey taught - sharing her real passion - I loved every second of it - Stacey is such a beautiful person and her passion inspiring - it has been an honour to be know as one of 'Staceys's Girls' for some of this amazing journey.  I have used stickers from the Kaisercraft Collection along with Little Birdie Crafts Handmade Embellishments - the Cactus are perfect for the Arizona based layout!

The beautiful flowers are also by Little Birdie Crafts - the Beaded Blooms and I have added some stickers to create a little journaling.  I have also added some chipboard from Prima, a handmade embellishment and the gorgeous peacock feather, which I picked up in a crazy shopping spree with the other International Ambassadors.  The chipboard is from Little Birdie Crafts - it certainly says it all - DREAM BIG - I would never have imagined that this would be part of my amazing journey - me a card maker in my little suburb - but theses things do happen...so DREAM BIG!!

5. Adhere the layered Paris Skyline to the card front using liquid glue.

6. Cut/emboss Love Letters envelope and latter using double sided paper.

8. Cut/emboss the medium heart once using green card stock and once using cream.
9. Lightly sand the hearts and tuck them into the envelope - securing with a drop of glue.

10. Adhere to the top right corner of the card front at a slight angle.

Spellbinders - Just a Note

Hello friends! I am back today with a cards created using Spellbinders Dies - no stamping - just dies. I do love stamping on cards, but there are times when Dies do it all.

I have used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Art Deco Astoria Decorative Accent Etched Dies for my centrepiece.  This has been cut/embossed using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and white card stock.  I have used the Die as a stencil, colouring the exposed areas using Imagine Memento ink in Teal Zeal and Tangelo Inks, before removing it from the die.

Then it has been glued onto the Nestabilities Labels Thirty-Nine Etched Die and popped up using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares, onto a card front is patterned paper that has been embossed using the Em-bossing Fold'ers Floral 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided then lightly sanded with a sanding block before being adhered to the pre-cut card base,

The sentiment is from the Die D-Lites Sentiments 5 Etched Dies and has been cut using white card stock and adhered using liquid glue. Finishing off with a row of lace being added across Labels Thirty Nine and Want2Scrap white pearls added along the lace and to the flower Die Cut.

My card today has been created using a retired Silhouette image that has been stamped using Imagine Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and layered onto yellow card stock.  The layers have been popped up onto patterned paper that has been embossed using Spellbinders Em-bossing Fold'ers Grid 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

The ornate frame at the top has been cut/embossed using Spellbinders Nestabilities Art Nouveau Water Lilies Decorative Accent Stacey Caron Etched Dies and popped around the layered image.  The flower is from the Shapeabilities Heart & Home Flower Play Etched Dies and the leaves from the Shapeabilities Amazing Paper Grace Stack and Fan Flowers Etched Dies. The flower and leaves have been adhered to the lower portion of the layered image and lave added across the lower portion of the card,  I have finished off using adding Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse - LeCreme either side of the flowers.
