Darkroom Door - Happy Birthday Wishes

Hello friends, welcome and thanks for stopping by!  You can never have too many birthday cards - I am sure you know that!!  They are the best seller in the shops that sell my cards, so I have been trying to get a few made before the next 'top ups' are due. These ones came together from those things constantly gathering on my desk - my favourite kind of card at times - being limited to what is on the desk stops me over-thinking the process....know what I mean?!?!  The fabulous sentiment is Darkroom Door - Small Stamp - Birthday.

Darkroom Door - Classic Birthday

Hello friends, I have a masculine card to share with you today - I am working hard to build up my supply of masculine cards - we never seem to create enough of them so I am doing what I can to rectify that, using the Darkroom Door Vintage Automobiles stamp set - I love these old trucks and the fabulous sentiments that come with it. 


I have stamped the truck image using Imagine Memento Ink n Rhubarb Stalk onto white card stock.  This strip of card stock has been sponged around the edges using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and a Sponge Dauber,  The Texture Stamp - Plaid has been lightly stamped onto the centre of a recycled book page and popped up onto a slightly larger, white precut card base.

Torn corrugated card has been adhere across the middle of the card front and the stamped image has been popped up across the lower portion - on an angle - using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares  


The stamped and inked strip has been added to an embossed layer using Spellbinders Em-bossing Fold'ers Grid 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A strip of recycled corrugated cardboard has been adhered along the image strip and sponged using brown ink,  The computer sentiment has been adhere

Darkroom Door - The Road to a Friend's House

Hello friends, I have a masculine card to share with you today - I never seem to create enough of them so I am doing what I can to rectify that, using the Darkroom Door Vintage Automobiles stamp set - I love these old trucks and the fabulous sentiments that come with it.  I do have to add that there is no reason this card cannot be given to a emale as well! ;)


I have stamped the truck image using Imagine Memento Ink n Teal Zeal onto white card stock.  This strip of card stock has been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks and a Sponge Dauber,  The Texture Stamp - Measuring Tape has been lightly stamped onto the lower left corner using Memento ink in Rhubarb Stalk.  The purple spots have been created using a homemade stencil and Radiant Neon in Electric Purple and the sentiment stamped using Tuxedo Black ink.


The stamped and inked strip has been added to an embossed layer using Spellbinders Em-bossing Fold'ers Grid 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided and popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  A strip of recycled corrugated cardboard has been adhered along the image strip and sponged using brown ink,

Spellbinders Baby Boy

Hello friends - there is something about making baby cards - is it the fact that they are one of the cards people seems to keep, along with Wedding cards?  I do love the create them and adding lots of special details.  This may be the only time that you can make cards for males pretty and even add a bow! LOL!


I have cut/embossed the card base using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles 2 and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform..  The patterned paper has been cut to size and popped up onto the card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.


The image is from my stash and has been coloured using Chameleon Pens.  This has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and adhered to a Standard Circle LG using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner, then popped up onto a Die from  Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance and frame from the Silhouette Die D-Lite.


The sentiment is from the Darkroom Door  Hello Baby stamp set and stamped using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  This has been cut and layered onto a strip of the patterned paper and then onto the layered card base.  The gorgeous sheer double bow is created using May Arts Ribbon.

Darkroom Door - Pretty Poppies

Hello friends, I have had a couple of days with very little time on the computer as it was my birthday and I hada lovely time with all of the family - and my precious grandson - of course.  But I am back this evening with  card just 'for you'!


The image is Pretty Poppies by Darkroom Door and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  I have coloured it using Chameleon Pens - you can see more of the detail in the close up photo.


I have added touched of white around the middle of the poppy centres using a white gel pen. 


Want2Scrap Beautiful Bling Borders by Nina Brackett have been added to the lower edge of the image and Orange Rhinestones added along the Bling Borders.  The image has been cut/embossed using  the Spellbinders  A-2 Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Dies and The Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform 

Next it has been popped up onto a pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment is from the Penny Black Inc. Tiny Wishes stamp set and has been stamped using Black Ink and cut/embossed using Spellbinders Standard Circles SML then layered onto a slightly larger circle.  Faux stitching has been added and 3 small rhinestones, the sentiment is adhered using double sided tape.

Darkroom Door - Butterfly

Hello friends, today's card has a beautiful butterfly from Darkroom Door - I love the size of it and how beautifully it colours.


I have coloured the image using Chameleon Pens, it has been cut out using Spellbinders Labels.  I have layered dots using a variety of Chameleon Pens to add a shadowing effect.  This has been layered onto an embossed Spellbinders Labels 17 - embossed using the Spellbinders Horse Hair folder by Tammy Tutterow using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  This in turn has been popped up onto a precut card base using Labels 17, also using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

A button has been glued to the centre of the butterfly and a Want2Scrap pearl added to the button - such an easy but effective embellishment

Those Who Dare

Hello friends - I have a few cards to share over the next few days - infact I have made many, editing and blogging are a whole 'nother show! LOL!  Today's card has been created using Spellbinders Dies - but you knew that - didn't you! 


My image is Dear Daffodil by Darkroom Door and has been stamped using Imagine Crafts ‘featuring’ Tsukineko Memento Inks.  This has then been cut/embossed using A2 Matting Basics A Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Card Creator  and the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.


The sentiment is by Dina Roedel Kowal for Impression Obsession, Inc. - this is definitely a sentiment I will be using a lot.  I have stamped the sentiment using  Imagine Crafts ‘featuring’ Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.  This has been layered onto corrugated card, followed by orange cardstock; cut lightly larger; using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  Adhere all of the layers to a precut card base using Crafty Foam Tape.


Ink a small and medium circle; cut using Standard Circles LG  # 2 #3 (#1 being the smallest).  Layer using liquid Glue an finish with a yellow button and white thread tied in a bow.
