Crafty Friend Challenge

I am back to share a card for the Crafty Friends Challenge - it was lovely to see some of you play along in the last challenge - this week the theme is Halloween.

This is something we don't celebrate in Australia, so I have used the colours used for Halloween as my inspiration.

I have used an image designed by my dear friend Laura Kirste for Penny Black - Thread of Flight stamp.

With the additionof Want2Scrap bling - Swirls Finesse

and of course SPellbinders Dies - I have cut the image out using the Labels Twenty Nestabilities and also using the Pumpkin Accents Shapeabilities.  All Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine.

This card is created for the following challenges:
2 Sisters - Things with Wings
Secret Crafter - Distressing
Sugar Creek Hollow - Vintage Animals
Natalie and Amy's Challenge - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum Christmas Sparkle & Bling

Layered Flight

Today's card is created using an image designed by the amazingly talented Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

The image is coloured lightly using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

and layered onto Spellbinders Dies - the lower layers are small medallions from the Parisian Motifs, that have been tucked behind a Classic Oval, then a  Floral Ovals added and finishing off with the coordinating Die - Labels Twenty.

It makes is so much quicker and easier using so many Dies on a card when you can cut them all at the one tome using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.
Finishing off with some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling designed by NinaB Designs - this is one of my favourites - no card seems to be complete without it these days! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:

Forever Friends Anything Goes
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes

Song Bird

I often stamp off a few images at the one time, so on those days when I am feeling lazy, I can just reach for one without having to actually get up and bring out the inks and the stamps - yes, woeful I know, I am sure it does not happen to you - it is just something I battle with! LOL!

I am so glad I stamped off a few copies of this gorgeous stamp by my dear friend and artist Laura Kirste Campbell, for Penny Black Inc.  I love the fact that it co-ordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities - that makes it so easy to cut out and in such a gorgeous shape, my cutting has been done using the Grand Calibur.

This one has been stamped with Tsukineko Versafine in Spanish Moss and coloured using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

With the addition of  a few flowers and gems, along with a hand dyed Seam Binding bow, my card is finished - how easy is that!?!

This card is for the following challenges:
Chocolate, Coffee & CardsAnything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. - Feathers/birds
Dream Valley Challenges - Things with Wings
Charisma Cardz - Anything goes

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Flight of Thread

I love making cards with these gorgeous new stamps by Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

A Flight of Thread coordinates with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities, which makes cutting it out so easy - especially with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.  It is then layered into two small motifs from the Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities®

I have kept the image one layer, colouring it using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen, I love the depth of colour you can get using a Blender Pen, adds a dimension all of it's own.

Ribbon threaded lace, hand dyed Seam Binding and a Mulberry Paper Rose add a pretty touch.

Finishing off with some Want2Scrap Bling.
This card is for the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Things with Wings
Fashionista Challenge Winged Things
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything Goes

Lacey Butterfly

I am back with the second stamp in the gorgeous set from Penny Black  illustrated by my dear friend and ever so talented Laura Kirste Campbell - as I said in my previous post, those of you who LOVED Layers of Color and have been missing Laura's artistic flair, will be happy to know she is back and ROCKING the images.

Juts like the Lacey Bird this image, A Flight of Thread, co-ordinates with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities - don't you love that!

I have stamped two images and cut out the butterfly on one, coloured the image and the butterfly with Chalks using the Tsukineko fantastix , they are perfect for colouring.  They are then layered onto the Spellbinders Lacey Circle Nestabilities with foam tape.  The single butterfly is popped up with foam tape as well, to give the wings dimension.

Seam Binding is my ribbon of choice, I love the softness of it and how beautifully it makes bows without the 'bulk'!

A Mulberry Rose has been added.

This card is for the following challenges:
Emergency Crafters - Butterflies, Birds, Anything with Wings
Just Add Ink Pearls
4 Crafty Chicks - Monochromatic
Crafty Ribbons - Butterflies & bows
Crop StopMonochromatic
Crafting for all Seasons - many layers

LOC Deepest Sympathies

I am happy to say I did not need to make this card - but had the sentiment and the images laying in my pile of UFO's on my desk - I am also happy to say I have finished 4 more - sure and steady wins the race!  LOL!

I also was 'itching' to play with my new Spellbinders Labels 20 - what a gorgeous shape!!  Out came the Grand Calibur - well, it doesn't actually have to come out as it is used everyday and sits ins a place of honour on a desk!

I used the Layers of Color Backyard Birds art stamp set, I have lots of these images stamped and ready to colour - this one was a step ahead of the others - it was already cut out!

I coloured it with SU Chalks, using a Blender Pen and lightly added the 3D Kindy Glitz - as you may know - this is my new 'toy' and I love the way it is texture and has a softer look.  This is added to the sentiment from the Sent With Love art stamp set and added to the Classic Oval Nestibilitie.  I have embossed this with the Tim Holtz embossing Folder ( another new favourite!!)

I have finished off with some crinkled Seam Binding and a silk flower that I found in my sewing basket - I have not been a fan of silk flowers - don't get me wrong, I love them on your work...but they just didn't work for me - BUT the 'jury is still out' on that one, as I really like the look of this one and have tried to capture the shimmer for you to see.

This card is for the following challenges:
Lets Ink It Up - Embellish It
Sparkles Forum - Anything Goes
Creations by Gill - Bird in Your Garden
Sugar Creek Hollow - Embossing
Partytime Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
