Faux Cleaning with Crackle, Lace and More

Hello friends - it has been a while between posts - I have not forgotten you, in fact I have so many projects to share with you but have been busy working on a few publications that are due very soon.  I am excited for the opportunity and look forward to finally be able to share them with you - but it will not be for some time as the magazines work ahead....

Late at night I usually 'hit The Studio' and get some work done while the household sleeps and I normally finish by trying to create a project using the bits and pieces that gather on my desk.  Today's share is a Baby card, or perhaps a child's birthday. I have used some discontinued Spellbinders Dies - and yes, they have sat on my desk for that long!! (head hung in shame! wink:wink!)

I have popped up the Nested Duck (discontinued) onto Standard Circles LG using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L3D Foam Squares there is also a Victorian Medallion One Die cut using Authentique Paper.  Things tend to gather for LONG periods of time as there is always something new to try - I am sure you know what I mean - or is that just me?!  A row of lace has been adhered to the top of the card and Want2Scrap™ pearls have been added.

Buttons are a favourite embellishment - 'shirt' buttons are great, add a white pearl and Kindy Glitz and it is an 'instant' shabby look.  Pleated paper with paper piercing and faux stitching are an extra touch - these have been adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner.

Crackle Texture Paste has been added.  I created my own stencil using a cereal packet and a Spellbinders Die - and it works beautifully - in fact I have used this stencil more than one - who doesn't love to recycle!!

This card is for the following challenges:
Inspiration Destination -  Anything Goes
The Three Muses - Two of anything (Die cut circles)
Unicorn Challenge - Add Some Glitter
The Crazy Challenge - Everything Goes
The Paper Girls - Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Anything Goes
Use Your Stuff - Anything Goes

Thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

Flourishes LC It's All in the Details Layout

Hello Flourishes friends, I am excited to be have a Layout featured on the  Flourishes LC Blog.  As much as I love the Flourishes LC images for card making - I love how they work so well on layouts - I have used 3 sets that you can see below.

The All in the Details #1 image has been stamped onto the patterned paper using black ink and coloured using Chameleon Art Pens.  The sentiment has been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink, it has been trimmed and the edges sponged using walnut ink.  A strip of Authentique Paper has been adhered above the sentiment and lace adhere below the sentiment using liquid glue.  Red Baby Bling has been added to the lace for that 'pop' of colour.

The photo has been popped up onto 3D Foam Squares and adhered to the centre of the layout.

Corrugated card has been randomly covered with Crackle Medium for extra texture and Lace has been adhered using liquid glue with red Baby bling.  A border Die Cut is adhered to the centre.

The Poinsettia from the Winter Booms has been stamped twice onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink.  They been coloured using  Chameleon Art Pensfussy cut/ hand cut out and popped up onto the layered corrugated card, using 3D Foam Squares.  I have created a stencil using Cascading Dots and apply Texture paste randomly and finished with a few added embellishments.

Take care friends - thank you for your comments and all of the support you give me - you make blogging such an amazing place to be!! Your encouragement is such a blessing for me - it makes my day! God bless you!

The 'Eyes' Have It

Hello friends, I hope you are all well and enjoying the week before Christmas - I know it can be busy and that can distract us from the reason we have Christmas in the first place.  I sincerely hope you some time to relax and remember,

My DH and I had to get new glasses and I could not bring myself to throw away the bag - how cool is it!!  It had not been in the door for long and I had recycled it into two cards - and thankfully had the computer generated sentiments already printed out.

Not too much to explain here - my card base and paper were cut/embossed using the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and  the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform    The paper has been adhered using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The first sentiment has been adhered to a tag from the Spellbinders Die Ribbon Banners - love this one.  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the Die using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Angel Pink.

The second sentiment has been layered onto white card stock and adhere to the lower portion of the card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner.  It is as easy as that!

These cards are linked to the following challenges:
Great Impressions - Anything Goes
Artbymiran Challenge Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Morgan's Art World - Anything Goes
Polkadoodles Challenge Week - Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything goes
Penny Black December Challenge - Black and White plus one

Flourishes LC From Our Cottage to Ours

Hello Flourishes friends, I am excited to be have a card featured on the  Flourishes LC Blog using the fabulous Coastal Christmas stamp set.

The image has been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured using Chameleon Pens.   This has then been cut/embossed using a Die.

The sentiment has also been stamped to the lower portion of the die cut using black ink; twine is wrapped around twice and a shell embellishment added. This has been layered onto a precut card base and patterned layer using 3D Foam Squares.

NOTE: my designer paper has been created by cutting leftover papers using a square punch and adhering them to recycled cardboard (often a cereal box).  I have paper pierced along each seam and
cut/embossed the finished paper - a great way to use those favourite papers, giving a unique piece for my card.
