Spellbinders Laced Flowers Tutorial

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I have a new tutorial to share for Spellbinders using some of the new Special Moments Collection by Licensed Designer Marsia Job. In her true style Marisa shares her floral designs that are easily paired with other dies - in this case the sentiment from the Exclusive Indie Collection  What great tools we have to make beautiful cards - as you will see as you follow along with the tutorial.

'Shapeabilities Laced Flowers Etched Dies Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job is a set of three dies includes three different sizes of beautiful intricate flower designs.
Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job brings together her signature floral designs and sentiments to help create expression through art. Special Moments complements her other collection to mix and match for a wonderful collaboration.' - Spellbinders

1. Arrange the Laced Flowers face down onto white card stock, using repositional tape to secure.
2. Lightly spritz the card stock with water - NOTE: Do not soak.
3. Run through the Platinum Die Cutting Machine using with the cutting edges of the dies facing up into the card stock, using the embossing mat and plate

4. Sponge the embossed area using your inks of choice and sponge daubers.
5. Cut/emboss the card front using the largest die from the Scored and Pierced Rectangles.
6. Cut/emboss the first part of the sentiment from the Wishing Expressions Stamp and Die Set - Exclusive using black card stock.
NOTE: Embossing is optional for the sentiment - I personally like the slightly rounded look it gives the edge.
7. Glue across the embossed card front
8. Stamp the second part of the sentiment onto white card stock using black ink.
9. Trim to size and adhere under the die cut sentiment.
10.Pop up the card front onto a slightly larger pre-cut purple card base.

Hello Tag

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  Not only is it Sunday night here in the Nations Capital but it is almost 2019 - but I know you know that!!  We do not usually leave the house to celebrate - we have done the Sydney fireworks along with the ones here and it is always so crowded we actually get to see more of the fireworks on the TV!  I am showing my age - aren't I!? Wink:Wink!

I have been trying to get ahead with my own supply of tags and cards as my collection sometimes gets low.

This tag is very quick and easy, the base is created using a Bird Cage Die that has been embossed, the adhered to a piece of green card stock - next the excess card has been trimmed.

The Leaves are from the Kaisercraft Bombay Sunset Collectibles  and have been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The bird has been recycled from an older card, once it has been fussy cut/Hand cut using scissors and a black pen run around the cut edges.  Next the bird has been popped up onto the leaves using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The Hello Sticker is from Kaisercraft Misty Mountains Sticker Sheet and has been adhered to card board, trimmed and the edge had black pen added.  Next it is adhered to the side of the tag using double sided tape.

This tag is linked to the following challenges:

Be Confident

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  It is Friday night for me - the beginning of the weekend - if it is not here for you yet - hold on it is not too far away.  I have had a lot of fun playing with Little Birdie Craftsstamps - so many to choose from and so many possibilities.

I have started by stamping the Little Birdie Crafts Clear Stamps - Script Heart 3x4 onto white card stock using Imagine VersaMark ink, followed by White Embossing Powder.  Next this has been heat set using a Heat Tool and randomly sponged using Imagine Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk, Dandelion and Teal Zeal Ink.

I have added some sponging over the image, which has been cut/embossed using the third largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum 6 Die cutting and Embossing MachineI have used a Teal Zeal Water Marker around the paper piercing to create faux stitching.

The image has been popped up onto a card front that has been embossed using a Spellbinders Wood grain Embossing Folder

Most of all Be Happy

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with family and/or Friends.  I am more than aware that Christmas can be a very hard and lonely time for people - if you are one of the latter, please know you were both thought of and prayed for!

I enjoyed a little time in The Studio today and in an attempt to clear away the gathering layers (and there were many) on my desk - I ended up creating this Mixed Media card.  I do love the Tim Holtz Umbrella Man and had an embossed image which I sponged over using Imagine Memento Ink in Teal Zeal.  The image has been outlined using Chameleon Pens Black Detail pen and a white paint pen.  Another Stampers Anonymous stamp has been used down the side of the the image and also been sponged lightly using Teal Zeal ink.

A Prima Stencil and texture paste have randomly been used around the embossed image - these have also been sponged using Imagine Memento Inks in Teal Zeal.

The butterfly from the Penny Black Inc. Social Butterfly clear stamp set  has been stamped onto Coral card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped onto the lower right corner of the images. Details have been highlighted using a White Paint Pen and liquid glitter.  The layers have been popped up onto a card front of patterned paper using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares..  This in turn has been popped up onto a slightly larger pre-cut cream card base also using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.
The sentiment is from Kaisercraft and the tag has been recycled from a gift I received some time back.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends, thanks so much for stopping by - Christmas is only 4 sleeps away for us in the Southern Hemisphere - the shopping centres are so full and I feel for those who have yet to start their shopping - not a fan of last minute at any time!  In the meantime I have a quick birthday card to share with you - you can never have too many on hand!

I have used the Spellbinders Framed Petite Labels embossing folder as the card front - it has such pretty details and lends itself to be combined with any smaller die.  The embossing folder has been sponged using Imagine Memento Luxe ink in Wedding Dress and a sponge dauber - I love how this both softens and highlights the embossed pattern.  The corners have been rounded, next this layer has been popped up onto a slightly larger white pre-cut card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

The Die D-Lites Swirl Delight Etched Dies has been cut/embossed using the Platinum Die Cutting Machine. white card stock and adhered to the card front using double sided tape. A die cut birthday sentiment has been lined using green card stock and popped up into the Swirl Delight using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

A double bow has been created and glued under the sentiment.  A small white flower along with a mauve jewelled brad have been glued to the knot of the bow.  Green sequins have been randomly glued to the card front.
