      Birthday Butterflies

Hello friends - it has been a busy week for us here with one thing and another - the most important being our grandson Noah's first birthday party - although his birthday is this Wednesday, his Mummy and Daddy held it early to fit in with days off and interstate family being able to visit - I will share some photos when they are edited.

One of the things I love doing with Spellbinders Dies - is using the Negative Dies - this one from Labels Forty makes a perfect frame.  I have adheres it onto yellow cardstock that has been cut slightly larger.  This is all layered onto a pre-cut white cardbase.

The gorgeous butterfly is the Spellbinders Outrageous Butterfly - and just begged to be coloured brightly using the Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Radiant Neon Inks and a sponge Dauber. This has been adhered to a Standard Circles LG so it did not get lost in the yellow background.  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card and Want2Scrap bling has been added to the button.  Finishing off with Celebra'tions Hip Hooray Sequins.

      Boxing Boys

Hello friends - today's card is centered around this gorgeous image - I just love these two little boys and have had the image sitting on my desk for some time, so decided to pair it with other things gathering on my desk - and this is the result.

I have used some discontinued Dies from Spellbinders, along with papers from my stash - you know those pieces that are too good to throw away - and we seem to have boxes of them - but that is me - not you!! LOL!

The image has been printed and cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Labels Forty Six Nestabilities.  This has been layered onto the Classic Squares LG followed by the Lacey Squares.  Washi tape and dove tailed embellishments have been added.  Random splotches have been added using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko irRESISTibles in Dandelion.    Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card and the bling is from Want2Scrap.

      The Future Belongs...

Hello friends - I have just come back from teaching two Spellbinders Workshops in Sydney - a fabulous time and it has to be said - the Amazing Paper Grace Collection by licensed Designer Becca Feeken were so popular - I believe all stock was sold out and a lot of pre-ordering was done!!

On arriving home I just had to create something - to unwind (wink:wink) and used the Ripple single sided em-bossing folder on some patterned paper from my stash - I love embossing patterned paper - to be honest it certainly improves those papers we just had to have and have never ever used because they are now 'ugly' (in my opinion) LOL!  I love the retro repeat pattern of the 70s. I have then used a white Gel Pen to colour the debossed area and am very happy with the overall effect. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and so very true!!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card and the bling is from  Want2Scrap.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
