ODBD Seasons

Good morning - it is Saturday morning here for me and I am hoping to have a highly productive day, but before I 'get my craft on' I am wanting to share a quick card with you.

I needed some 'Religious' cards for the shop - that categories always makes me smile - religious really just applies to something we go 'religiously' like, cleaning our teeth - just sayin'!  I do love to create 'faith based' cards and am happy they sell well at this store too.

I naturally reached for my Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1 and my Spellbinders Paper Arts Dies - I have used the Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities® to cut out this sentiment, using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.  I used the Die as a mask, sponging around the center before removing the card from it - I love this technique, it gives the illusion of another layer without adding the 'bulk'.  Makes it so much easier and less expensive for posting to someone - something I try to consider...but as someone who loves layering.....I am not always successful with this! LOL!

and added a few embellishments I had sitting on my desk - an adorable butterfly that was part of a RAK, lace and a gorgeous little flower from the Craft Queen.

Coming together very quickly, which is just as well as this month our local corner store where I sell my cards, sold 60 cards - no time for procrastinating here! LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:

Layered Flight

Today's card is created using an image designed by the amazingly talented Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

The image is coloured lightly using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen

and layered onto Spellbinders Dies - the lower layers are small medallions from the Parisian Motifs, that have been tucked behind a Classic Oval, then a  Floral Ovals added and finishing off with the coordinating Die - Labels Twenty.

It makes is so much quicker and easier using so many Dies on a card when you can cut them all at the one tome using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.
Finishing off with some gorgeous Want2Scrap bling designed by NinaB Designs - this is one of my favourites - no card seems to be complete without it these days! LOL!

Anniversary Wishes

I am back to share a card that I have created using a left over kit from one of my Card Classes, I have a growing collection of these and am starting to use them - it certainly makes creating easy, I don't normally use kits so this makes a nice change for me!

I have used Spellbinders Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities® to layer this gorgeous feathered flower onto.  The Scalloped Edges are created using Spellbinders Classic Edges One Edgeabilities and paired it with Classic Decorative Inserts One.  All Dies are cut using the Grand Calibur

Flight of Thread

I love making cards with these gorgeous new stamps by Laura Kirste Campbell for Penny Black.

A Flight of Thread coordinates with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities, which makes cutting it out so easy - especially with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.  It is then layered into two small motifs from the Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities®

I have kept the image one layer, colouring it using SU Chalks/Pastels and a Blender Pen, I love the depth of colour you can get using a Blender Pen, adds a dimension all of it's own.

Ribbon threaded lace, hand dyed Seam Binding and a Mulberry Paper Rose add a pretty touch.

Finishing off with some Want2Scrap Bling.
This card is for the following challenges:

SSIC Love in Action

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us nb the lovely Helen this week.  Helen has chosen a scripture from the book of John.

"Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other, let us show the truth by our actions" 1 John 3:18 NLT

Helen has challenged us to 1) image showing action OR 2) an image only on the front of your card (no sentiment on the front) OR 3) action card (make it move)

My image is from this weeks sponsor The Paper Shelter and has been coloured using Chalks/Pastels.  It has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and layered into a Parisian Motifs Die using foam tape.

This has been layered into the Spellbinders Leafy Squares Nestabilities and has Mulberry Roses and Want2Scrap bling added.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine

Parisian Rose

Flowers - always come to mind when thinking of Mother's Day - admittedly this is not a Chrysanthemum but it definitely is a flower!

I have used the smallest Die from the Spellbinders Grand Labels One Nestabilities do create my card

and the Parisian Motifs Shapeabilities - I love this Die!

and the Rose Creations Shapeabilities Die - I am going to have to be surgically removed from this Die, I cannot seen to stay away from it! LOL! The beautiful pearls are from Want2Scrap - 72 Count - Pink Pearls - Self Adhesive.

All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine - I love the way it gives such a crisp cut and the embossing is like 3D - you can't beat that!

This card is for the following challenges:
Simply Create Too - Mothers Day / Feminine

Just Keep on Creating -  anything goes
Paper Shelter Challenge - anything goes
Sisterhood of Crafters - May flowers
