Farmhouse Greetings

Hello friends, welcome and thank for stopping by!!  You know if this was in real life I would have a hot brewed coffee waiting for you - or tea if that is your preference.  My husband upcycles furniture and does a fabulous job with it - this means I live in an every changing house LOL!  Some of the pieces are so beautiful and just have to stay with us - the latest pieces are a very 'French Farmhouse' look - who doesn't love that.  It did remind me of an older Layers of Color stamp....how perfect is that Rooster Topiary!?

I started by stamping the Rooster onto texture card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black Ink. Next the image was coloured using Chameleon Pens, and layered onto slightly larger Maroon card stock.

 ,
Narrow green checked ribbon has been wrapped around patterned paper from my stash, the layered image has been adhered using double sided tape and adhered to slightly larger dark green card stock.

For my card front I used a piece of garden wire/lattice to emboss white card stock.  I love to try different things but have a rule - don't force anything - the outcome could be lethal.  The embossed layer has been adhered to a slightly larger dark green card base, with the layered image adhered near the top of the card front.

I have cut/embossed the Honeycomb from the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Honey Bee Etched Dies using gold card stock.  This has been popped under the lower left corner of the layered image and glued into place.  The circle sentiment is from Fancy Pants and has been popped up using Scrapboook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Welcome Little One

Hello everyone - it is Sunday here in the Southern Hemisphere and also Father's Day.  We had a lovely family day, with the family all coming together for a roast lamb dinner - no Tom Cruise was not part of it!! Wink:wink!!  I have a very CAS (Clean and Simple) card to share with you today - well clean and simple for me anyway.

The adorable image is from a retired stamps set from Layers of Color - how adorable are these  little chicks - perfect for a baby card - but could be use for so many other occasions. These have
been coloured using Chameleon Markers  - I love the slight graduation of colour - and all with one pen - perfect.

The card base has been cut using the Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies. The patterned layer has been created by embossing white card using Spellbinders Em-bossing Fold'ers Curtain Beads 4.25 x 5.5 in Single Sided - loving the slightly retro feel of this folder.

As always I have used  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment is also from a retired set (sorry)

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Wonderful!! Something Old - Something New

Hello friends - Christmas is over for another year and 2016 is rolling along at a steady pace.  I am trying to balance my time in The Studio, but have to be honest and say that I need more time than I am spending there and often up in the early hours of the morning - not that I mind that - this is a very busy house and it is usually the only time I get the house to myself....I am sure you know what I am talking about,

Today's card is a mix of old and new - the stamps are retired stamps that are still favourites  I just have to ink them every now and then.

The Dies are Spellbinders of course - the cardbase and decorative layer have been created using Labels 46 and Labels Forty Six Decorative Element Nestabilities®.  The rose image has been layered onto two offset Lacey Circles Nestabilities® Decorative Elements in dark brown.  All of my Dies have been cut/embossed using the Platinum Die Cutting and Embossing Machine .

My images have been stamped using Imagine Crafts 'featuring' Tsukineko Versafine in Vintage Sepia - Versafiine is fabulous for those images with lots of fine details.   My card is held together by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3LThe bling ifrom Want2Scrap.   My sentiment is from the Penny Black Inc. Social Butterfly stamp set.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Layers of Color Revisited...

I have a box of stamps that I keep safely tucked away and love to revisit from time to time.  They are my Layers of Color retired stamps, although the company is no longer, it was the most amazing time for me and I love the stamps designed by Artist and Designer Laura Kirste Campbell.

The sentiment is computer generated and the image stamped using Imagine Crafts®/ Tsukineko® Memento Dye Ink in Rich Cocoa and the edges also sponged with Rich Cocoa and a Sponge Dauber

The metal filigree corners are favourites of mine and always add such a vintage touch.  The Mulberry Roses are from Want2Scrap and the tattered lace handmade by my dear friend Maxine

I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner on this card.
