This week at Spellbinders is all about Spring Cleaning - I have shared a tutorial showing how to create these vintage tags for my baskets of product (and there are more than a few...LOL!)

SSIC Layers

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is hosted by the lovely Miesje - who has chosen :

 "If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?” Romans 8:31b-32

Miesje has challenged us to create a card or project that uses everything! The opposite of a CAS – toss on the embellishments and/or different papers, textures.

This challenge worked perfectly for me as I wanted to create a special Sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her husband and I wanted to fill it with all of the embellishments that she loves (and I do too) and have it overflowing with ambiance and love.

Lots of details - anything but CAS and one of my favourite styles of cards !

LOC Tres Chic

There is always something creative happening in my home - it comes in many forms - my DH is a Photographer and also creates the most beautiful gardens for us to enjoy, one of my daughters is musical, having taught herself the piano and guitar - she writes the most amazing songs and sings so beautifully - am I a biased Mum - you get I am!  LOL!

My other daughter draws and my son is into animation - and me...you know I LOVE to create, especially with Layers of Color and Spellbinders - what a Dynamic Duo!

I have cut out the Spellbinders Decorative Dress Forms Die and Elegant Posts with my Grand Calibur and stamped this one using The Love Chapter from Layers of Color - giving a lovely vintage feel

This Die has been sponged with Distressing Ink and had the addition of bling - must have on a feminine card!

The sentiment is from the Sweet Silhouettes clear art stamp set

The added Doily and popping the sentiment up on foam tape add texture and dimension. Oh - and the DP is from My Minds Eye - Lost and Found Collection.

Angel's Twine is a thinner cotton than Baker's twine with a metallic thread twisted through it adding a special sparkle. Feather Twine is soft, feathery and sweet as butterfly kisses. Both lovely twines are coupled together on a reusable artist's tag with a free fabric rose!

LOC Sneak Peek # 7 Floral Notes

I have something different to show you for my Layers of Color New Release Sneak Peek- an ideal gift for Christmas or any occasion

I have used the Elegant Labels clear art stamp set, illustrated by Nina Brackett

This has been cut out with the Spellbinders Labels Ten, using the Grand Calibur.

A Wild Orchid Flower and some of my Hand Dyed Seam Binding to finish it off!! 

This notebook is made from a recycled calendar - last years, I have cut it up and covering the inside pages with DP - makes a great notebook - I would show you some photos of the inside, but it is still a 'work in progess' and - it may be next Christmas before it is completed! LOL!  Hopefully not...but....

LOC Sneak Peek # 4 - His Glory

Today I am 'sneak peeking' the gorgeous Dotted Peony clear art stamp set from Layers of Color

These new sets illustrated by Nina Brackett will be available on November 16 at the Layers of Color Store

The flower has been coloured using Prismacolor Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits

and has been popped up onto some Basic Grey DP with foam tape to give dimension

The wonderful sentiment is also from Dotted Peony clear art stamps and has been cut out with the Spellbinders Labels Seventeen Nestibilitie

The addition of some lace and the card is complete - it does not get much easier than this to create a card - You have to love that!
