On Butterflies Wings

Hello friends - I have been having a lot of fun working on tutorials and articles for publication, but every now and then I just head to The Studio to create for creating sake - I am sure you know what I mean - for the sheer enjoyment of it- I also try and use of some of the things gathering between projects - and these stamped butterflies by Penny Black Inc are some of those images designed by the very talented Laura Kirste Campbell

The three butterflies have been stamped using Imagine Tuxedo Black and have been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks in Electric Yellow, Electric Pink and sponge daubers.  Next they have been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up onto a layer that has been cut/embossed using the third largest die from the Spellbinders A2 Modern Stationery Card Creator Etched DiesOn a side note - I do love this Die set and was in Phoenix at the Spellbinders Office with the other Designers and we got a sneak peek at the next release - and this die was one of them - always been a favourite!

The  A2 Modern Stationery Card Creator has been stamped using a rose stamp set - I am not too Sure who it is by but thinking it may be Viva Las Vegastamps - please let me know if you are able to help with the company name.  The butterflies have been glued to the Die cut, at the bodies and the wings been popped up using Scrapbook Adhesives BY 3L 3D Foam Squares for dimension.  A Little Birdie Crafts Handmade Flower Khloe - Pearl Pink, has been popped up onto the centre of each butterfly and a White Gel Pen has been used to add marking on the butterflies wings.

The card front has been created using two different patterned papers that have been glued to card stock.  A piece of thick pink spotted ribbon has been adhered around the centre, over the join.  Net the card front has been cut/embossed using the largest die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Scored and Pierced Rectangles Etched Dies and the Platinum Die Cutting Machine; and then    popped up onto the slightly larger pre-cut white card front using Scrapboook Adhesives BY 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.

The sentiment has been trimmed and layered onto slightly larger pink card stock and adhered to the card base using E-Z Adhesive Runner Ultra.  Want2Scrap 250 Count - White Pearls have been adhered to each corner.

Social Butterflies

Hello friends - I have been having a lot of fun working on tutorials and articles for publication, but every now and then I just head to The Studio to create for creating sake - I am sure you know what I mean - for the sheer enjoyment of it- I also try and use of some of the things gathering between projects - and these stamped butterflies by Penny Black Inc are some of those images.

The base has cut using SpellbinderA2 Matting Basics A Card Creator on pink card stock that has been folded in half, making sure the folded line is inside the cutting edge.

Three butterflies have been stamped using Imagine Tuxedo Black - from the smallest at the top to the largest at the base of the card.  They have been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks in Electric Yellow, Electric Pink and Electric Orange and sponge daubers.

Imagine irRESISTibles Pico Embellisher in  Electric Yellow has been added to the centre of the butterfly  and a computer generated sentiment popped up across the lower butterfly.  The postmarks have been added using Imagine Radiant Neon Ink in Electric Yellow.

Social Butterflies

Hello friends - always nice to have you visit.  Today I am sharing a card created Mixed Media card using Penny Black Inc. Social Butterflies stamp set - these are some of my favourite butterflies - designed by my lovely friend Laura Kirste.

I am really enjoying creating my own backgrounds - patterned or collage.  For this card I have stamped the butterflies first, then sponged the layer using Imagine Crafts Inks and stamped random images on it.  The butterflies have been coloured using the beautiful summertime colours of Radiant Neon Inks and a Sponge Dauber - so easy, as well as being effective.   Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Adhesive Runner and 3D Foam Squares have been used on this card. I think this card would be suitable for so many occasions - or just because!

Darkroom Door - For You

Hello Blog Friends,, I hope you are having a good week - we have been in the middle of a heatwave and are enjoying a few cooler days - but definitely not cold! The Studio is a great place to 'chill out' on days like this!

I have been using some tags I had started as samples for a Workshop, but decided they would make pretty cards - this one being the first one completed.  The Stately Circles Spellbinders® Nestabilities® Decorative Elements has been cut using the Grand Calibur Die Cutting & Embossing Machine and purple card stock.  A strip of Washi Tape has been added!

The image is from Darkroom Door and is one of the first Darkroom Door sets I owned - still up there among the favourites.  I have stamped the wings twice, coloured them using IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Radiant Neons in Electric Yellow and popped them up using 3D Foam Squares. The lace panel is stamped using Memento™ Dye Ink in Teal Zeal.

The Nestabling is from Want2Scrap.   I have also used  Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares for dimension ,and E-Z Runner on this card.

This card is for the following challenges:

Inspiration Destination - Always Anything goes

Love and Laughter

Hello Blog Friends, it feels like days since I have been here, but you will have seen Sneak Peeks and links to my Tutorials on other Blogs - I hope you get the opportunity to pop over and check them out.  I will add that I am busy working with new products and more sneak peeks - and just quietly - I am loving everything - just sayin'!

In saying that...this card is not a tutorial on another Blog, it is a card I created using one of  The Crafter's Workshop Stencils and ImagineCrafts/ Tsukineko Radiant Neons in Electric Blue and Electric Yellow.

The butterfly is from the Wonderful Wings Spellbinders® Shapeabilities®, it has been layered into the Captivating Squares Spellbinders® Nestabilities Decorative Elements, using Scrapbook by Adhesives by 3L - 3D Foam Squares, followed by Rounded Squares  Nestabilities®.   My Dies have been cut/embossed using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.

The sentiment is from Penny Black Inc - Eloquence Transparent stamp set - one of my favourites for sentiments and the divine black rhinestone swirl is from Want2Scrap.

This card is linked to the following challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Bling It Up
Crafting At the Weekend - Anything Goes
Anything Goes with a Twist - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
