Hello friends - any Dr Who fans out there? The first thing I thought of when I saw this Phone Box stamp by Stampin' Up! was Dr Who - I have a son who is an avid fan and keeps us updated on that is happening with the Dr.
I stamped the image onto glossy card stock using Imagine Memento Ink in Danube Blue and fussy cut/hand cut using scissors it out.
The background is embossed using the Spellbinders Seth Apter Em-bossing Fold'ers Lazer Beams 5 x 7 and the Platinum . The embossed layer has been randomly sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon Inks and a sponge dauber. The 'Tardis' has been popped up onto the centre of the embossed layer using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. Kindy Glitz/Liquid Glitter has been added to each lazer beam.
The embossed card front has been layered onto a pre-cut card base, with a strip of embossed navy card stock added along the right side - liquid glitter has been added to the lazer beams. Stenciled dots have been randomly added and finishing off with a computer generated sentiment.

I'm such a Dr Who fan! Love what you've done from the fussy cut Tardis to the laser beam background. I can all but hear the theme music when I look at it! It's wonderful! Thank you so much for joining us at Retro Rubber. Unfortunately, we can't consider this beauty for a top pick as we do have a couple of rules at Retro Rubber - even for Anything Goes - and they are that you must use a stamp older than a year, tell us the approx age and not to link up with more than ten challenges in total.
ReplyDeleteIt's this stamp that has made me hold onto this stamp set! I also have a son who is such a Dr Who fan that I must keep it in my stash. Love how you made the background as well. Great card! We do appreciate you playing along with us at Retro Rubber. Since Jan has explained our rules, I won't repeat them but we would love to consider you for a Top Pick the next time to join us in our gallery.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this SO reminds me of Dr. Who...what a fabulous card!! Thank you for sharing with us at Scrapbook Stamp Society...good luck!
