Flourishes LC October New Release Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello everyone - welcome to Day 2 of Flourishes October Blog Hop! If you came from Bev's Blog - you are in the right place. We have an absolutely fun stamp set that we are excited to share with you!!  Today we are going to see our newest set called Elf N Christmas illustrated by Lauren Pope and I have not one but two cards to share with you today!

Perfectly Pierced Hourglass Die Set

I am sure you would be agreeing with me - the elves in this set are totally divine - and how about that ornament - gorgeous!!  I have stamped the Elf image onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured it using Chameleon Pens.  It has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors popped up;using  3D Foam Squares onto Authentique Paper  cut/embossed using the Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die Set.

The sentiment has been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink, hand cut and layered onto red cardstock.  This has been added to the top of the Die and a button and red bling have been added.  The center of the sentiment banner has been popped up using one 3D Foam Square in the center to hold the curve in place.  Washi tape has been added and the layered image added to a pre-cut filigree card base.

My second card uses the same set, along with the Jester - Diamond Background stamp - love how they work together.

I have also used Authentique Paper which is available at Flourishes LC.  My image has also been coloured using Chameleon Pens - and don't you love that pom pom trim - it has been sitting in my stash just waiting for the right card to be created! Wink:wink!!  Finishing off with Baby Bling - Red Rhinestones and a little shimmer - after all; it is for Christmas!

Flourishes October New Release Blog Hop -Day 1

 Hello everyone - welcome to Day 1 of Flourishes October New Release Blog Hop! If you came from Bev's Blog - you are in the right place. We have some Botanicus Perfectus stamp sets that we are excited to share with you!!  Today we are going to see our newest sets called Year in Flowers 1, 2 and 3 illustrated by Beverly Cole.

I am showcasing Year in Flowers 1

                                   

  I have stamped the flowers onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and have been coloured using Chameleon Art Pens. They have been fussy cut/ hand cut out and popped using 3D Foam Squares onto the Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die Set.  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging inside the edges using Angel Pink Ink and a sponge dauber.

This in turn has been layered onto the patterned card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The sentiment has been computer generated and popped up on 3D Foam Squares across the stems of the flowers.

International Ambassadors Unofficial Holiday Blog Hop

Hello everyone - welcome to the International Ambassadors Unofficial Holiday Blog Hop.  As always a BIG thank you to those who Hop along with us each month and leave such lovely comments - it means so much! For this month's Blog Hop we are using Spellbinders Holiday Dies  I hope you can hop along with us and see what each of the International Ambassadors has for you!

Other : Liquid Glue;  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Want2Scrap:  Baby Bling - Red Rhinestones - Self Adhesive; Christmas Ribbon, Scor-Pal; gold and red cardstock; red seam binding; small gold bell

1. Cut/emboss the filigree insert only of the Holiday Botanical on to lower portion of the old cardstock.

2, Remove excess pieces using Tool 'n One.

3. Score the gold cardstock and 1/2'" intervals - scoring from the back.

4. Adhere narrow ribbon between scoring lines - secure at the back using double sided tape.

5. Pop  the old cardstock up onto a precut cardbase using 3D Foam Squares.

6. Cut/emboss the Layered Poinsettia in red cardstock,

7. Layer Poinsettia using liquid glue.  

8. Adhere a bling to the center of the flower.

9. Adhere a double seam binding bow and bell, to the left side of the scored portion.

10. Attach Poinsettia next to the bow using liquid glue.

11. Adhere Baby Bling as shown in the photo above.

Flourishes LC Friday Blog Hop - Sentiment-al

Hello Flourishes Friends, it is Linda here and I am excited to be hosting this weeks Flourishes LC Friday Blog Hop.  If you have arrived from Bev's blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please go to the Flourishes Blog and start from the beginning.  

The challenge for the Senior Design Team is to get 'Sentiment-al' -what does that mean - we have to have a sentiment as the focal point on our cards - not a hard challenge when Flourishes LC has so many wonderful sentiments among their stamps.

I have stamped the sentiment from the Fall Tree image onto Flourishes LC Classic White card stock using black ink;  it has been cutout using a Die that has also been used as a stencil using Golden Glitz Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  Next the sentiment has been popped up onto the layered card base using Foam Squares for added dimension.  Lace has been added under the sentiment and a double bow adhere to the right - bling is added to the center of the bow.

 The flowers from the Winter Blooms illustrated by Beverly Cole  have been stamped onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink; they have been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up on the left side of the card using  Foam Squares.  Bling has been added to each 'corner'

Wishing you a Lovely Day

Hello friends,  I am sharing a floral card with you - very CAS (Clean and Simple) for me but I love this stamp set - Ranunculus Field by Stampendous.  We had beautiful Ranunculus in our garden a few years back and I was excited for those fabulous heads to open - I was looking out the window one morning to see my DD1 (who was a toddler then)  happily ripping the heads off them all - last time we planted them - but I do still love them!

The image has been stamped onto white cardstock using Imagine Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  It has been coloured using Chameleon Pens.  A computer generated sentiment has been adhere across the stems using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner.    This has been layered onto yellow card cut slightly larger.  The layered image has been popped onto a pre-cut cardbase using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L3D Foam Squares.

Spellbinders Flower Bouquet Tutorial

Hello friends - today I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders - it is floral and delightfully shabby.  I have used a stamp, Die and Embossing folder from the Donna Salazar Designs Collection - a little bit of a fan here!

Spellbinders Products:

• SBS-051 Stamps Donna Salazar Designs Journal Words
• SDS-020 Stamps and Dies Donna Salazar Designs Flower Bouquet
• SEL-008 Embossing Folders Donna Salazar Designs Medallion
• PE-100 Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform

Other: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares; Donna Salazar Lace Ribbons; Imagine Crafts: Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, Memento Luxe in Rose Bud; White cardstock; Want2Scrap: Eternal Swirls - white Pearl - 2 Pack;  Sanding Block; Acrylic Block

1. Stamp the Flower Bouquet image onto white card using black ink.

2. Cut the stamped image using the Flower Bouquet Die using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine - 6" Platform

3. Colour the image using medium of your choice - I have used Chameleon Pens.

4. Emboss green cardstock using the Medallion embossing Folder.

5. Lightly sand the embossed areas to give a distressed look.

6. Adhere Donna Salazar Lace ribbons across the embossed card.

7. Adhere to pre-cut light pink card base (6"x 4")using double sided tape.

8. Pop the Flower Bouquet image up onto the layered cardbase using 3D Foam Squares.

9. Stamp sentiments from the Journals Words Stamp Set onto patterned paper using Rose Bud Ink.

10. Trim to size, layer onto slightly larger white card.

11. Adhere to the right side of the card,

12. Adhere Pearl Flourish above the Flower Bouquet image.

Birds and Blossoms

Hello friends I am sneaking in for a quick share of  card I created using Spellbinders Dies in a couple of different ways...

The first technique is obviously Die Cutting - cut/emboss using a retired die that I  just could not bear to part with for the card base and next layer.

The gorgeous little bird and blossom tree are from the Spellbinders Plum Blossom Dies - the flowers and bird are cut separately, that makes it so easy to personalise the colours.

Second technique using a die is stencil:  I have using the Cascade Dots Card Creator Die to create a stencil - I use recycled cardboard (a cereal box actually) and apply Imagine Crafts Creative Medium to some areas of the layered base.  After the Creative Medium has dried I have sponged some of the raised dots using Radiant Neon in Electric Yellow - just how many is personal choice. 

The third way to use a Spellbinders die is using the negative Die:  I have used the negative die from a sentiment, adding white faux stitching for extra detail.  I have also added a hand drawn border - just for something different.

Flourishes LC Friday Blog Hop

Hello Flourishes Friends! Welcome to another Flourishes LC October Challenge  - I hope you enjoyed the projects that were shared with the New Release - and are ready for more inspiration today. Thank you for the lovely comments you made - each one was read and appreciated!  This week Tricia has challenged us to use patterned paper on our cards!  If you have come from Beverly's Blog you are in the right place, if not, please go to the Flourishes Blog and start from the beginning.  Please join us welcoming new designer Barb Thompson to our Team

I have used the image from the  Winter Blooms illustrated by Beverly Cole.

  I have stamped the Poinsettia onto Flourishes Classic White card stock using black ink and coloured them using Chameleon Art Pens. It has been fussy cut/ hand cut out and popped up on to Christmas Stocking card base, using  3D Foam Squares onto a Die-cut, 

I have used Joyous by Authentique Paper which is available in the Flourishes LC Store.  I have highlighted the branches using a Gold Gel Pen, but is hard to see in the photo; red rhinestones have been added to create 'faux quilting'.  Finishing off with Gold Thread and a Christmas Bell.  Nice and easy and that Poinsettia is definitely the star.  This would be a very easy card to mass produce for those who are looking for something a little different this year.
