I decided to try embossing and am more than happy with the results! I sponged the Art Stencil onto the Album with SU White Craft Ink and used White embossing powder. I had to be careful when heating this as the album is vinyl and heated right up, but thankfully it all worked - a risk well worth taking!
I added a length of pink satin ribbon around the album front over, then followed it with some pink tulle that has been knotted and secured with a large pearl brad. The tag has been stamped with a butterfly from Layers of Color Butterfly Collector art stamp set. This has been tied to the brad with some gold thread.
The medallion has been attached to a SU Scalloped Circle (thank to the neighbours SU punch) and secured to the middle of the album!
As you can see here the embossing is vibrant - I love using the Embossing Powder with white ink, it makes it 'pop!'
and here is the finished project - so feminine and dramatic at the same time. I made this for my neighbours birthday - I am determined this year to make those gifts I have been meaning to make for years, especially for those who appreciate handmade - it is time for this girl to put more 'thought' into my gifts, after all, it is the thought that counts - isn't it!?!? LOL!
You will have a chance to win all 7 stencils starting June 7th on the Layers of Color Blog. The winner will be announced at the Release Party on the 14th. If you play along in our Blog Hop on the 14th, I will be giving away some stencils as well - so make sure you stop by!
